As we head towards the last party of July, the Colony continues to dominate Saturday in Playa d’en Bossa as ANTS hacks the system. July 28 sees Andrea Oliva, Dublin, Francisco Allendes, Joris Voorn, Solardo and wAFF take over the booth for the latest edition of Ushuaïa Ibiza’s cutting edge in-house party.

Making an impact in Ibiza in the summer is not an easy task, doing so with an untried party concept is virtually unheard of these days. That’s exactly what happened for ANTS, from a roadblock debut party, the Saturday gathering has evolved into one of the most important parties on the global scene. During the summer, it offers a day into night underground vibe in one of the world’s finest open-air venues and when the island has gone into winter mode, it travels the globe, keeping up with an ever-increasing amount of invitations. It is one of the island’s big success stories of recent years and it’s only just getting started.

Saturday July 28 is the last chance to party with the colony in July and it promises to be another big one. Andre Oliva has been present since the very first party, making a huge contribution to the continued success and seeing his own star rise at the same time on the back of some headline grabbing performances. Francisco Allendes is another long term contributor and his recent compilation mix, the third of the ANTS series, shows why he is one of the most respected of the current wave of electronic artists. No matter where you look on the line up there is a talent that is more than capable of smashing the party, whether that is in the smaller sound booth early on or the dominating main stage after dark.

One of the biggest changes of recent years has been the level of production that has gone in to the weekly Saturday party. Initially starting as a simple gathering of electronic music lovers, nowadays, the stage looks like something from a futuristic movie set! The ANTS performers are amongst the very best on the scene, in familiar black costumes, with some variations depending their role, they infiltrate the crowd and offer an immersive experience to all that fill the open air venue. When the sun sets and darkness falls, the space is illuminated by mesmerising visuals from the huge walls behind the booth as well as the intricate lighting effects that sweep across the heads of the capacity crowd. There no better experience than dancing under the stars on the clubbing capital.
