SXM Festival 2017

March 15 – 19 sees SXM Festival return to the idyllic location of Saint Martin for the second instalment of the clandestine Caribbean electronic music festival. Having already announced the first phase of headliners, including Ricardo Villalobos, Black Coffee, Âme, Bob Moses and Nina Kraviz, the second phase of talent has been revealed, adding a deep underground vibe to the already credible collection of talent.

2016 saw SXM Festival make its debut in a seemingly saturated global festival market, proving that you can never have too many world class events filled with talent as it smashed all expectations. Universal praise followed, not to mention a slew of international talent keen to experience the unique vibe of the SXM experience. Festival founder Julian Price said; At SXM Festival we value quality and intimacy. Quality of music and experience. Intimacy with some of the most wonderful, enlightened, party people on the planet. Add to that the breathtaking beauty of Saint Martin and it’s a powerful mix. We have already sold tickets in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. And we can’t wait to welcome our global family to this magical island. In year two we have also redoubled our efforts to bring the very best talent in underground electronic music to SXM, with every carefully curated artist having their own sonic identity. Improving on last year’s line-up has been a challenge because we respect the musical story so much. But as we announce Phase 2, we feel like we’ve done it for 2017 – and this story should win a Pulitzer prize.”

SXM Festival set out to create a unique destination experience for its festival goers, at the same time finding a new home for the nomadic dance tribe. It’s safe to say that it was mission accomplished, making an instant impact on a global scene that can traditionally be a particularly stubborn nut to crack. SXM Festival offers artists and clubbers alike, an unforgettable adventure, with five sunrises and sunsets to enjoy and a host of fantastic music and performances in between – from the white sandy beach of the main stage to the unforgettable Caribbean boat party, the exclusive villa party, the rawness of the jungle party and the chance to immerse themselves in the rich local culture. With the island splitting its heritage between the Dutch and French, the melting pot of colour, cuisine and craft makes for an unbelievable trip.
