After a successful debut last year, the conscious Cosmic Pineapple festival is set to return to Pikes Ibiza on October 4th for a day-to-night whirlwind of music, spirituality, art, fashion and food. A gathering hosted by the team behind the website of the same name, a sharing platform for alternative healers and the conscious community, in 2016 the celebrations began as a four-part event series themed around the elements of water, air, earth and fire. This year’s incarnation is encouraging guests to enter the fifth element – love – – by opening their hearts and minds to ‘the eternal truth that LOVE is all we need in the dance of the great mystery of life on our planet’.

Held within the sprawling grounds of the iconic boutique hotel, there are many different magical and immersive areas to explore, which last year included the Cosmic Activation area offering healings, conscious talks and yoga, the Once Upon A Time outdoor night market featuring creative traders from all over the island, gardening workshops, healthy food and drink options, an art section and an outdoor movie screening hosted by Cinema Paradiso. Native Instruments offered a conscious approach to a dance music panel and the Minx FX mermaids were splashing around in the famous Pikes swimming pool.

At night, Cosmic Pineapple opened two rooms to allow revellers to express themselves through dance – The Cosmic Cave and the Space Rave – which saw some of the world’s most visionary DJs playing secret sets, including Acid Mondays, Afrodeutsch, Carl Craig, Cici, Craig Richards, Danny Daze, Djebali, Ellen Allien, Jamie Jones, Josh Wink, Kate Simko, Lauren Lane, Mike Shannon, Mirko Loko, Rob James, Shonky, Tiefschwarz and was hosted by queens, Fierce Grace and the world’s smallest drag queen, BabyJane ElectroQueen.

This year, plenty more surprises await, with proceeds being donated to three charities including Help Refugees UK, Love Specs and The Voice That Nobody Wants To Hear, which addresses the homelessness crisis in Ibiza. Children are welcome to join the fun, with the doors opening at 16.00 and the celebrations continuing until 4.00. This year’s musical programme is yet to be announced, but it is recommended to sign up for the event via
