Scottish-born, Ibiza-based artist Jeff Thomson is showcasing his debut exhibition at the Atzaro Ibiza hotel in Santa Eulalia for one week from Tuesday, July 16 until the 23rd. The former celebrity hairstylist has kept some of the island’s most well-known in sharp condition – but now he’s swapped scissor and brush for brush and paint with his new island artistic venture, all thanks to his partner who urged him to try his hand at painting only a short time ago. Now the Scottish creative is exhibiting nine very special pieces that interpret iconic Balaeric tracks close to Thomson’s heart, with a resident DJ, drinks, tapas and more on offer at this stunning Ibiza venue.

Born out of an artistic background, Thomson made the move over to the White Isle back in 2017, bringing with him a genetic make-up for creative expression. With three uncles all making a living in the industry; one a leading figure in fine art; another an illustrator for the legendary Beano comic, Thomson has been surrounded by art all his life, but it was his uncle Chris Rattray – a world-renowned sculptor – who takes the highest acclaim, thanks to world-class work that has seen his interpretations travel the world and beyond. His famous Elvis Pressley statue still stands outside The King’s Gracelands home in Memphis. Expect big things from Thomson in the future. The exhibition opens its doors at 8pm on Tuesday, July 16th. Don’t miss out.
