The last two seasons on Ibiza have seen a stellar rise of Latin beats across the dancefloors of the White Isle. After the first sizzling fiestas were embraced with such enthusiasm that they managed to pack out even cavernous superclubs, it was undeniable that the island had been missing a trick so far. Always a step ahead of the curve, the world-famous Ushuaïa Ibiza took a leap of faith and, for 2019, introduced the first open air Latin party: MUCHO Ibiza. After a successful first season, last Sunday saw the spicy concept bring the curtains down on its debut run.

Having treated the island to performances by the biggest Latin music stars over the course of the summer, closing honours were bestowed upon reggaeton and Latin pop star Natti Natasha. A collaborator of fellow Ushuaïa Ibiza residents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and David Guetta, with whom she joint forces on this year’s huge summer jam Instagram, the sassy brunette is no stranger to Ushuaïa Ibiza’s trendy international clientele. Needless to say, the last MUCHO IBIZA fiesta –and her second White Isle show – of the season was rewarded with a sold-out venue!

The feel good vibes were evident from the word go as party-loving revellers arrived from all corners of the island to dance in the sun and show off their spiciest dance moves to the electric rhythms. Colourful flamingo and watermelon inflatables carrying swim-suited beauties were filling up the pool, while scantily clad dancers fired on the crowd in the sweltering afternoon sun. Turning up the heat some more was Italian rapper Sfera Ebbasta, who took to the stage before Queen Natti made her grand entrance. Dubbed the King of Trap in his home country, the powerhouse performer delivered a show worthy of the title of his 2018 record ‘Rockstar’.

Greeted with hysterical screams by her adoring fanbase, Natti Natasha took to the stage with the confidence and cool demeanour of a woman who knows her own star power. Looking incredible in turquoise metallic baggy pants and a sexy crop top, sparkling pyrotechnics went off to either side of the sassy firecracker as she greeted the sea of people in front of her. Visibly loving every minute of her set, with a huge smile on her face she worked her way through a rip-roaring set of her emotive and passionate hits like Me Gusta and Criminal. It was a fitting finale for one of this summer’s most colourful, vibrant and electric parties – and, dare we say it, we wouldn’t be surprised if MUCHO IBIZA returns even bigger next year!
