The first-ever urban Latin open-air event is taking over the island. MUCHO IBIZA at Ushuaïa Ibiza is a top-notch Sunday clubbing choice for thousands here on the White Isle, with the leading Latin party brand inviting some of the hottest names from the genre to play at one of the island’s premier open-air venues. For this middle-of-the-season affair, MUCHO IBIZA invited Puerto Rican Latin chart sensation Ozuna to lead a sun-soaked day-to-evening event, alongside Ibiza R&B regular Ale Zuber, Federico Kay, Fogon Soundsystem and DJ D-One. Essential Ibiza joined a packed-out Ushuaïa Ibiza to see how it went down.

With queues extending all through Playa d’en Bossa, there was a real buzz in the air. The party had already started outside Ushuaïa Ibiza – and it was only going to get better. RICHBITCH resident Ale Zuber was heating-up the open-air mega-venue in the mid-July sun. Throwing down an alternative kind of set that what we’re used to at Hï Ibiza on Mondays, Zuber edged more towards a reggaeton soundtrack than his usual R&B-focussed style – and we weren’t complaining. The stage was set perfectly for Ozuna.

Racking-up over 15million Instagram followers, hundreds of millions of YouTube plays and streams and an award list as long as Ushuaïa Ibiza itself, Ozuna is one of the hottest artists in Latin music. It was no surprise to see this massive open-air venue bursting at every angle, with Ozuna ramping-up the pressure song-after-song. It was a proper showcase of all his best hits, both old and new. Cambio, Te Soñé De Nuevo and his newest summer heater Muito Calor had hips shaking and moving until nightfall. Ozuna was at his colourful best, with a set full of vibrancy, vigour and verve.

With five MUCHO IBIZA events left and a handful of very special guests still to headline, Ibiza’s first-ever open-air Latin event is steamrolling its way to the very top. This world-renowned genre is by far one of the most listened all across the Latin planet sphere. Its passion is unapparelled and its energy is infectious.
