New nights on Ibiza can go one or two ways. With so much going on at any given time, the more established residencies with cult followings built over seasons and seasons tend to prevail. Welcome to the newest cult: BODYWORKS. Hï Ibiza’s freshest party concept kicked-off with CamelPhat, Solardo and Fisher taking the residency reins to a packed-out clubbing attendance, full of techno and house lovers. Essential Ibiza joined them on this slamming Tuesday evening in Playa d’en Bossa.

North West England was represented with full-force in Theatre with Liverpool duo CamelPhat and Manchester techno-house heroes Solardo – and it seemed they brought the whole of the North West with them. CamelPhat stepped-up to the decks to roars and cheers from a deserved loyal following they’ve built over the years. Last year they joined Eric Prydz for his Hï Ibiza residency. On this night, it was their own: they didn’t hold back. Classic CamelPhat anthems such as Panic Room and Dopamine Machine did, of course, receive a rapturous reception, but it was their new Jake Bugg collaboration that had the Theatre’s reaching its crescendo. CamelPhat were on their best form.

After witnessing over an hour-and-a-half of pure progressive bliss, it was time to hop over to Hï Ibiza’s alternative Club room to see how Fisher was faring during the first night of his debut Ibiza residency. With the flick of his wrists, the enigmatic Aussie had the whole room in his hands and was throwing down a set worthy of residency status. It was much more varied than expected, with Fisher going darker towards the end with Artbat’s Return To Oz remix and then – of course – dropping his own Losing It, which was met with screams and cheers.

BODYWORKS’ opening party proved that new parties on Ibiza can earn an instant cult following. Expect thousands to turn-out to see their heroes CamelPhat, Solardo and Fisher every Tuesday until BODYWORKS ends its first ever Ibiza season on the 24th September.
