It’s been a question that has been on the lips of any White Isle clubbing fiend worth their salt this summer: what the h**l is going to happen with Sankeys Ibiza? The future of the famous Playa d’en Bossa party venue has been up in the air for some time, and today we finally find out what’s happening! New concept Octan Ibiza is set to take over the cavernous halls and breathe new life into the club, with ‘phase one’ expected to be rolled out in mid-summer on July 7th.

While the team behind Octan Ibiza is set on keeping the venue’s gritty warehouse aesthetic, some refurbishment work needs to be undertaken and preparation has begun to create a suitable canvas for Octan’s diverse music offering. Those who have never been to Sankeys Ibiza in in its heyday, expect vast concrete-walled rooms, low ceilings and a roof terrace to chill underneath the starry night sky. Meanwhile, the Octan crew is looking for street artists, lighting experts and AV gurus to collaborate with (if that is YOU, see contact details below).

The club will officially open on Sunday, the 7th of July, with the return of the popular Warriors concept headed up by Ibiza veteran Steve Lawler. Fuse frontman Enzo Siragusa and co-resident Seb Zito also head the bill for the grand reveal, with Warriors resident and rising star Ben Sterling supporting.

In a bid to guarantee quality over quantity, in ‘phase one’ of the Octan Ibiza journey the venue will focus its events schedule on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Collaborations with visual artists such as Nicholas Dixon and Andreas Brooks have also been confirmed. An exciting new chapter awaits one of the island’s best known party spots, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds…
