Heart Factory Delivers An Epic Finale Posted on October 4, 2018 Words: Nina Saei Images: Tamara Sini share this tweet this Blending a futuristic aesthetic with art influences, it’s pretty clear by now that the place to go for clubbing on a visionary scale is HEART Ibiza. Beyond its swanky postcode and the illustrious crowd that flocks in its numbers, the venue’s avant-garde philosophy when it comes to production and talent has seen standards continue to soar. The weekly party that has embodied the essence of this hotspot has been Heart Factory. Delivering acts on a grandiose level set against a backdrop of sensorial experiences, the closing on Tuesday was suitably colossal. A special extended set by Satori was the calling card of the night, supported by the up-and-coming SORÄ. Considering the futuristic nature of the cavernous canvas that is HEART Ibiza, it’s no wonder why artists of a certain flavour are keen to imprint their magic on the immersive venue. Over the summer HEART Factory has laid its machinery open to various acts for the creation of the extraordinary. The insatiable duo Louie Vega and Anané blew everyone away with their Chicago-house takeover, while Satori brought his ground-breaking otherworldly sound. Peppered in between with performances by the likes of Joseph Capriati – this year’s DJ Awards ‘Best Techno Master’ winner – Nicole Moudaber, Kenny Dope and Moodyman, the soundscape of the HEART Ibiza 2018 season has been nothing short of spectacular. So as we arrived for the final episode of this extravaganza, we were in for a special treat as Satori presented his latest creative concept Maktub, a concept that evolved from and expands on his album of the same name, and that seeks to provide visual-heavy, cinematic experiences as the artist prepares to take it on a world-wide tour. Unsurprisingly considering the artist’s steady rise, as we entered HEART Ibiza on Tuesday night we joined an ample following already immersing themselves fully into the party inside. Catching sight of Satori spinning and rocking behind the decks, throwing out as much vigour as his driving tunes, we were as hypnotised by his mesmerising presence in the booth as everyone else. A rumbling bass set the foundation to chillingly beautiful vocals, Amazonian flutes and tribal beats that drummed each person into fervent action. With SORÄ dropping in at intervals, he brought a techno lift that had the room feeling like an electro tipped jungle. The walls were coated in shape-shifting kaleidoscopic visuals as lasers saturated the air. With a mesmerising otherworldly vibe, it truly felt like we’d reached another dimension where electronic and native sounds mesh to create a new sonic universe. The air was wildly electric as the pair continued to pound the room into a captivating spell. Satori remained unrelenting all night, a magician in his own right whose set made sure HEART Factory closed in heroic fashion. share this tweet this
