Bob Sinclar has been staging his iconic house sound for decades. The cool French selector has become synonymous with Ibiza clubbing over the summers. Now, for 2019, he’s taking his party concept to HEART Ibiza for his Electrico Romantico residency, where he’s invited some of the best talents in his unique genre. Essential Ibiza joined Sinclar and his thousands of electro house fans at HEART Ibiza for this huge season opener.

Italian funky house duo The Cube Guys were the first performers to greet us as we entered the stunning artistic venue by the marina in Ibiza Town. The energy levels were already ticking over. The Cube Guys were getting limbs moving and hearts pumping. Their own Johnny Maker banger featuring Stevaxel threw some serious electro vocals into the mix and injected a tribal party atmosphere on the dancefloor. The Cube Guys were killing it. Opting to end their set a little slower with CamelPhat’s wicked Jake Bugg collaboration, the stage was set for Bob Sinclar to take the reins and begin his first ever Electrico Romantico set.

The slick Frenchman took to the decks and thanked his guests The Cube Guys for their fantastic contribution to this evening. But now it was time for the main man – and he wasn’t going to hold back. It was a set filled with fun, confetti and energy. Mixing it up with his own classic productions such as Burning and Far L’amore and other famous house hits like Pete Heller’s Big Love and Fisher’s Losing it, Sinclar was putting on a display of true eccentric eclecticism. With the Dom Perignon flying, all the sexiness of France was being represented wholeheartedly – and when Sinclar dropped Someone Who Needs Me, HEART Ibiza was lifted higher than the Eifel Tower. Bob Sinclar. What a showman.

After making the move over the road from Pacha and moving from Saturday to Monday, the intrigue surrounding Sinclar’s new Electrico Romantico night was high, but there was no apprehension. No matter where Sinclar performs, people will follow. He’s perfected his party concept over decades. This night was no different.
