Elements Ibiza Receives A Warm Welcome To 2019

There simply is no other way to describe the weather over the 2019 Easter weekend in Ibiza other than a complete washout. But despite the grey, cloudy skies, a miserable drizzle of rain and strong winds, White Isle residents and holidaymakers alike were determined not to let the unfortunate climate dampen their spirits. Arriving from all corners of the island to join the opening of boho chic seaside restaurant Elements Ibiza, a wind-swept Benirras beach remained remarkably empty while the crowds sought shelter inside the popular venue.

The dedicated team was certainly determined to offer their loyal fans the warmest welcome they could as the beach club began its ‘First Chapter’ of 2019 with day-to-night festivities combining delicious Mediterranean food, potent cocktails, uplifting music and many magical surprises. Lured by the siren call of the bassline, as we approached we were not entirely surprised to see the terrace bustling with revellers in the early evening hours.

With not much of a chance to see the kind of stunning sunset and listen to the infectious and hypnotic hippy drums Benirras is renowned for, the attention of those who had made the journey down the winding mountain road was firmly on the fine food and the chance of a boogie inside. Shielded by weather-proof curtains, almost every single table on Elements Ibiza’s terrace was occupied by happy diners while other guests enjoyed the chance to catch up over a glass of wine.

As we made our way to join the hustle and bustle, we were stopped on our approach by a duo of mystical merpeople, who floated and twirled through the crowd in their fantastical costumes. From a giant shell, they picked decorative pearls to place, bindi-style, on the revellers’ foreheads as a gesture of blessing. On the dancefloor, guest of all ages were letting loose to the infectious sound of Bruno from Ibiza.

As the night progressed, and Megablast turned the tempo up a notch while treating us to psychedelic house with an energetic bass, the venue was filled with an eclectic mix of young and old, island residents and visitors, some in their woollen winter jumper and others in their most dazzling party outfits – shoutout to the fabulous lady in a sparkling, fringed white bodysuit and a full feather headdress – a testament to the fact that the allure of Elements Ibiza can defy even the most temperamental start to the season!
