Capadi Rebels Rock Es Vedrá

Posted on June 10, 2016

With its unforgettable opening on Thursday June 7, the Capadi Rebel boat party is off to another season of smashing conventions, bringing innovation and tickling the imagination. Twice a week through to the end of September, one of the most original boat parties in Ibiza indulges guests to five hours of pure boat bliss and the finest underground music, an unmissable treat for any lover of Ibiza’s true spirit.

After a pre-party at Tantra, the Rebels boat party opening set sail at 5pm from Marina Botafoch on a monster 30-meter catamaran. Greeted by the friendliest – and wildest – staff with trays of sangria, guests found a most spacious boat that leaves plenty of room for everyone despite its 150 people capacity. A netted bow, open space decks and covered dancefloor, including two VIP tables and all around seating, provides options to dance, chill out, or enjoy a feeling of flying over the water and embodying the rebel within as you do so. As the boat glided through the picture postcard views of Dalt Vila, the Marina and every landmark to Playa d’en Bossa, a feeling of rebellious freedom reigned supreme.

The music alone was enough to take us on a magical journey, with the surroundings making it absolute dreamland. With a swim stop at the far end of Bossa, many jumped off the sides dancing back up the easy access stairs, as the rest danced onboard to the finest deep-tech. Creating an underground groove worthy of an afterhour, DJs Zu Er, Frank Mendez, Hardline, and Jiggy had it going on nonstop, for a daytime party on the water. First-rate underground tunes from beginning to end, the music was absolute top.

When it set off again, the boat party continued along some of the most gorgeous coastal areas of the island, Es Codolar, Cala Jondal, and Es Cubells. A very stable sail, the only eco-friendly boat-party in Ibiza takes a slightly different route every time, often using the wind to respect the environment and the precious Posidonia, reconnecting to the elements and ourselves. With an open bar to 7:30 offering a choice from the most healthy fresh juices to decadent cocktails, Es Vedrà soon came into view as the sun began its descent. While rebel-logo tattooed guests kept on dancing, the catamaran slowed down for a suggestive view of the most magical place on the island as the yummiest veg-friendly canapés went around. With the sun setting behind Es Vedrá as a backdrop, this moment tops any Ibiza experience.

Heading back to dry land, the party was in full force for the final hour of rebellious revelry. As most moved to the covered dancefloor, a sometimes-tribal, always brilliant tech-house had the newly found rebels rocking the catamaran’s suspended dancefloor. With the sky in pastels, Playa d’en Bossa glittering with possibilities, the horizon still on fire and the finest sliver of the moon presiding over the sparkling coast, Dalt Vila awaited glowing in gold as one of the most magical parties on the island made its way back to the port. Everyone dancing by now, the after sunset vibe kicked in for a moonlit grand finale and the party moving to Sankeys. And thus the Capadi Rebels season began.
