The second Ibiza season can often be a challenge, especially when you have enjoyed a huge success with your debut but Ibiza 2018 has seen respected global club brand Resistance show all of its experience as it delivered a series of talent-heavy shows in Privilege on Tuesday night. The bad news is that it is about to come to a close but not without one final fiesta on September 11, which features a back to back between Carl Cox and Maceo Plex as well as Sasha and John Digweed, to name only a couple of highlights.

Part of the Ultra Worldwide family, Resistance is known for its ability to transform a club space with spectacular lighting and production, which, when you add its ear for talent and an understanding of what makes for a balanced line-up, it’s no wonder it has been one of the go-to parties of the last two summer seasons. Privilege, of course, offers a special place to dance, making this one a marriage made in clubbing heaven. The closing party sees the main room and terrace invite a selection of international heavyweights to deliver a fitting finale. In the main room Carl Cox will play a solo set as well as his highly anticipated b2b with Maceo Plex; Sasha and John Digweed have been the foundations on which the residency was built and they return one final time as well as the welcome addition of Patrice Bäumel.

The Terrace is equally appealing, offering a slightly deeper alternative to the masses that will descend for one last Resistance. Dense & Pika, Skream and Popof makes for an already exciting line-up but add yet another wonderful B2B in the shape of Josh Wink and Butch and there is a reason expectation amongst the Ibiza tribes is already soaring. We have witnessed some fantastic Resistance roadblock’s this summer, from the opening party to the Drumcode takeover and, of course, not forgetting carl Cox birthday party but this one promises to be something special.
