Dosem Takes Ibiza 2015 By Storm

In a scene that too often affords instant success, without a great deal of substance, it’s great to find an artist that has paid his dues as it were. Someone that has spent time learning their craft, has worked hard over a period of time to hone their production skills, find their sound and experience crowds of varying sizes as they play their way around the world trying to make an impact. One such artist is Dosem, who, after a decade of releasing boundary challenging house and techno on some of the world’s finer labels, has earned his seat at the top table and is consistently delivering to make sure he keeps it. Ibiza 2015 sees the talented DJ/ producer play at some of the island’s cutting edge venues, including Blue Marlin Ibiza, Sankeys, Space and Vista Club, as well as maintaining a healthy international schedule that sees him drop into Sonar, Las Vegas and Ultra Europe in Croatia.

Dosem first featured on the radar of discerning music lovers as early as 2008, when he signed to Technasia’s Sino label, before releasing ‘Silent Drop’ the year after. Releases for Joris Voorn’s Green label, Bedrock and Suara followed as he caught the attention and featured in the sets of respected spinners around the world, including Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Joris Voorn and Laurent Garnier. It wasn’t until 2011, however, when he released his debut album ‘Parallel’, that his career would really gain traction, the release acting as a catalyst for numerous remix projects and international bookings that would finally see him gain the recognition that his talent deserved. Another album, ‘Origin’ on Christian Smith’s Tronic imprint followed as did a string of releases and remixes for the likes of Hot Since 82, Umek, Technasia, Uner, Coyu, Gregor Tresher, Max Cooper and Henry Saiz, cementing his position as one of the finest producers on the global scene. All the while he maintained his busy touring schedule, rocking parties wherever he played.

It wasn’t long before Dosem became a regular visitor to the white isle, appearing on some outstanding line-ups and holding court with some of the most talented and innovative spinners on the scene, where he has become a popular member of the island elite. With off-island bookings at Sonar (June 18) where he finishes after The Chemical Brothers before heading to Las Vegas for EDC the following night and Ultra Europe festival in Croatia (July 10), he will be clocking up the air miles but it is his on-island activity that excites us. After a headline grabbing performance at the Blue Marlin Ibiza opening party, he is committed to the Showtime Sunday event, appearing alongside some hugely talented DJs this summer. Away from the beach, he can also be found in Sankeys Ibiza for Reverse, one of the best parties last summer. With appearances in Space on July 8 and Vista Club on July 13 also already confirmed, it promises to be a busy summer for Dosem.
