It has been a strong start to 2018 for Balearic combo This Is A Recording. The recent gathering at Number 177 Bar & Kitchen seen a capacity crowd enjoy a showcase of the latest release, The Truth EP, as the nu-disco dons delivered a typically tight live performance. Signed to respectable electronic label, OCD Records, the live show was meticulous in every aspect, reminding friends and family why they are one of the hottest electronica outfits around.

The Truth EP is available now on OCD Records. It’s a five-track, well strictly speaking a four-track EP as there are two versions of Chemical Waves, that showcases the bands diversity of sound, ranging between dreamy afternoon vibes, as found in the title track and Pure Want and a moodier, early morning after-party vibe in the shape of Lilly Wave and Chemical Waves part II. It underlines their ability to dabble in either end of the electronica spectrum, consistently pushing new sounds and grooves, keeping their ever-growing fan base up on their feet.
