In a brave and confident blaze of publicity that saw billboards all over the island proclaim that the hotel would change everything, Ushuaïa opened to huge expectation, not to mention a high level of curiosity. Playa den Bossa was very much in the infancy of its transformation and a five star hotel that promised to change everything was maybe not the most obvious addition to the landscape. In the short space of time since the opening, however, its fair to say that it did exactly what it said on the tin! Ushuaïa brought a new level of service to the beach and with it a clientele that had an expectation level that demanded the surrounding area respond, which, in turn it did. The result is that Playa den Bossa has become one of, if not THE, most popular resorts in Ibiza. As a hotel, the facilities are amazing, from the world class Japanese restaurant and the luxurious beach club, to the high design and comfort of the rooms and suites, Ushuaïa offers a five star stay overlooking one of the finest beaches in Ibiza. The pool area offers a stunning location to relax and enjoy the sun, as well as a place to enjoy some of the finest outdoor entertainment anywhere in the world. The Ushuaïa stage, overlooking the huge pool, has seen countless unbelievable performances since it opened, bringing outdoor clubbing to the fore once again on an island that built its reputation on partying under the stars. Ushuaïa has played host to many amazing performers in the few years since it opened, Luciano and his Cadenza family were one of the first cool parties to sign up and it didn't take long for the rest to follow. Defected Records, Pool Disco, Swedish House Mafia, Sasha and David Guetta have all held and some still hold residencies on in the clubbing theatre. This summer sees the Ushuaïa Group open a brand ew venue across the street - Hï Ibiza, which again threatens an instant and lasting impression on the clubbing capital and, while it has dominated headlines, Ushuaïa hasn't been idly sitting back. The line up for Ibiza 2017 has taken shape and there is plenty to be excited about. David Guetta returns on Monday June 12 with anothe season of BIG; Martin Garrix takes up the Thursday night slot, from July 6; Tinie Tempah's Disturbing Ibiza looks after Friday from June 9; Ants hosts two pre-season parties on May 13 and 20 before opening officially on June 3 and there is a brand new addition to Sunday, with Kygo taking on the residency from July 9. It promises to be another huge summer in the open air venue overlooking Playa d'en Bossa and there are more announcements to follow.
