In a brave and confident blaze of publicity that saw billboards all over the island proclaim that the hotel would change everything, Ushuaia Opened to huge expectation, not to mention a high level of curiosity. Playa den Bossa was very much in the infancy of its transformation and a five star hotel that promised to change everything was maybe not the most obvious addition to the landscape. In the short space of time since the opening, however, its fair to say that it did exactly what it said on the tin! Ushuaia brought a new level of service to the beach and with it a clientele that had an expectation level that demanded the surrounding area respond, which, in turn it did. The result is that Playa den Bossa has become one of, if not THE, most popular resorts in Ibiza. As a hotel, the facilities are amazing, from the world class Japanese restaurant and the luxurious beach club, to the high design and comfort of the rooms and suites, Ushuaia offers a five star stay overlooking one of the finest beaches in Ibiza. The pool area offers a stunning location to relax and enjoy the sun, as well as a place to enjoy some of the finest outdoor entertainment anywhere in the world. The Ushuaia stage, overlooking the huge pool, has seen countless unbelievable performances since it opened, bringing outdoor clubbing to the fore once again on an island that built its reputation on partying under the stars.Ushuaia has played host to many amazing performers in the few years since it opened, Luciano and his Cadenza family were one of the first cool parties to sign up and it didn't take long for the rest to follow. Defected Records, Pool Disco, Swedish House Mafia, Sasha and David Guetta have all held and some still hold residencies on in the clubbing theatre. Recent additions to the weekly line up include Departures, ex SHM duo Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, Used and Abused, Loco Dice's Thursday party, Pete Tong brings Le Grand Bazaar to a Friday, Ushuaia Ants colonise the Saturday and Avicii brings his distinctive sound to Sunday. The hotel that changed everything keeps going from strength to strength. This summer, however, the chat in the build up to the new season was not so much about who was playing where in Ushuaia but what was Ushuaia The Tower going to bring to the beach. Once again, Ushuaia had captured the imagination of people on and off the island with the news that it planned a second Ushuaia hotel. As it gradually took shape, it was clear that The Tower would offer even more exclusivity to its clientele, not to mention some cool parties of its own. The beautiful white tower block next door to Ushuaia is covered in brightly coloured flowers and offers a stunning view over the famous stage and arena next door. It has a VIP roof terrace, where private parties enjoy the finest 360 view of the surroundings and the beautiful pool area offers a smaller, more intimate clubbing experience.
