As we are nearing the end of opening parties, we have lost ourselves in the frosty steam of ice cannons, marvelled at colourful lasers and almost suffered whiplash while trying to keep up with the impressive moves of dancers more times than you can imagine. So it made a refreshing change to celebrate a new summer concept that delivers no frills quality music and blows your mind simply with premium sounds, allowing clubbers to zone in on the expertise of the talent in the booth without any distractions.

For its inaugural night at state-of-the-art party space HEART Ibiza, the Heart Factory line-up lured in a knowledgeable and cool crowd with headliners Behrouz and M.A.N.D.Y. Both the venue’s beautiful outdoor roof terrace, which boasted some seriously cool new artwork for the 2017 summer as well as its unrivalled views across Ibiza Town’s harbour and UNESCO World Heritage site Dalt Vila, and the sleek club space were bustling with stylish revellers who visibly enjoyed every expertly dropped beat that came out of the venue’s powerful sound system.

When we arrived, Camilo already had the party firmly in his grip thanks to his hypnotic deep house sound that was dominated by a chunky bass and beautifully eerie vocals that send shivers down our spine – in the best possible way. Combined with the intricate swirling geometric shapes reflected across the LED walls surrounding the booth and dance floor, the flowing soundscapes invited party goers to take a tumble down the rabbit hole and immerse themselves completely in the music.

We enjoyed a little wander around the mesmerising club, taking in the neon underwater scene painted on the hallway walls, the mirrored ceilings in the bathroom and the handwritten – in lipstick – message in the powder room to ‘follow your heart’. HEART Ibiza is a joint project between world famous creatives Guy Laliberte, the founder of Cirque Du Soleil, and culinary revolutionaries Albert and Ferran Adrià, so plenty of surprises await when you explore the vast venue, adding to the atmospheric music experience.

As the night progressed, Behrouz took over the decks to rock the crowd with his signature powerful and emotive sound that effortlessly arched from energetic tech house tracks to ethereal deep house tunes, transporting us from futuristic sonic scenarios to forest meadows with electronic bird song in one smooth transition. On the dance floor, revellers were totally focussed on the music, dancing their hearts out and visibly savouring every beat. The energy remained high until the early hours as Behrouz expertly mixed one quality track after the next.

Renowned German DJ duo M.A.N.D.Y, consisting of childhood friends Phillip Jung and Patrick Bodmer, were in charge of closing duties but had no intention of allowing any of the clubbers to leave early, treating them to one of their signature charismatic and passionate sets that made it impossible to leave the dance floor. With their combined expertise, they sent chills up and down our spine and pulled us deep inside the HEART Ibiza universe with their irresistible selection of tunes. It was a strong start for Heart Factory, and we are looking forward to lose ourselves in its pulsating beats again soon!
