Circus Magic At Nikki Beach Ibiza’s White Party

Mesmerising fire-eaters, adventurous aerial acrobats and dazzling dancers… You’d have been forgiven to think you have walked straight into a – very glamorous – big top tent instead of a sleek beach club upon entering Nikki Beach Ibiza yesterday as the glitzy venue unleashed its annual White Party onto the crowd, this year under the theme of Circus Circus.

One of the biggest events in the Ibiza party calendar, Nikki Beach Ibiza never fails to go all out for their signature bash, laying on imaginative decorations, breath-taking live performances and fantastic music from day to night. The dress code was strictly all white, not that the fashionable revellers needed encouragement as the al fresco party space always attracts a trend-conscious international clientele.

We arrived during the magical golden hour, greeted by a bevvy of beautiful girls with feathered headdresses before being ushered through a giant clown face entrance to our comfortable sofa in the VIP area. The atmosphere was already electric, with several guests dancing on the floating dance floor that covered the middle of the venue’s azure statement pool. With the party starting at 13.00, some guests were still making the most of the hot July temperatures by splashing in the crystal clear waters, while others had booked themselves in for an elegant dinner under the stars, taking in the action from the elevated position of the terrace.

With the talented Nikki Beach Ibiza resident DJs taking it in turns to provide a sexy, infectious house music sound track, we soon got caught up in the fun and carefree atmosphere, toasting the night ahead with a crisp glass of Taittinger champagne. We feasted on fresh sushi, spectacularly presented on a wooden dragon boat, as well as moreish mini sliders and chicken quesadillas oozing with cheese.

It wouldn’t be a Nikki Beach Ibiza party if there weren’t plenty of surprises awaiting, and as the day turned into night, we almost got whiplash trying to keep up with the many exciting performances. A daredevil unicycle rider was showing off his skills poolside, while Julio Cuba wowed the audience with his electrifying violin skills. Stunning acrobats were suspended from the sky, contorting themselves into dizzying positions that left us open-mouthed. Throughout the day, Nikki Beach Ibiza’s resident saxophonist Juan Vier brought the ultimate Balearic vibes with his impromptu sets that mixed perfectly with the premium house beats that were drifting through the air.

A jaw-droppingly amazing trio of high wire acrobats kept the audience hypnotised by performing adrenalin-pumping stunts without even a hint of nerves, balancing high above the crowd while dancing across the metal rope. Meanwhile, guitarist Manuel Moore wowed the beach club with a melodic and powerful set of electric guitar sounds mixed effortlessly with house music beats, with the partygoers cheering him on as he unleashed his riffs. As night fell, Nikki Beach Ibiza looked majestic illuminated with glowing lights and neon hues. Magical fire shows caused plenty of goose bumps all round, while the atmospheric soundtrack kept revellers up on their feet right until the end of the night. Once again, Nikki Beach Ibiza had managed to dazzle the island with their legendary White Party – and we can’t wait for next year!
