We Are Rockstars Line Up

We Are Rockstars returns to Ibiza Rocks Hotel from Friday June 03 until September 16, with takeover shows from What Hannah Wants, Ram Jam, Champagne Steam Rooms, Metropolis & Rinse FM as well as previously announced #Merky residency with Stormzy. The announcement of the full line up sees the philosophy of assembling the cream of UK talent continue with some exciting headliners suggesting yet another summer of vibrant Friday night gatherings.

The attention of live music lovers was well and truly captured when it was previously announced that Stormzy and #Merky would take up a four show residency this summer, the first of which opening the party on Friday June 3. The fifth series of the pulsating Friday night residency returns for 16-weeks packed with some of the hottest names on the scene, a diverse mixture of live talent to deliver a unique open-air vibe. After an opening set in 2015 that is still being talked about, Wilkinson returns to headline on June 10 when Metropolis takes over the stage in the heart of the hotel, with UK Garage favourites Ms Dynamite, DJ Luck & MC Neat and drum & bass collective North Base completing a fantastic line up.

Throughout the 2016 line up, there are massive acts that have proved themselves hugely popular with the We Are Rockstar crowd, Example and DJ Wire return for three shows on June 17 with Sister Bliss from Faithless joining them, July 1 supported by Barely Legal and a final show on August 26 with rising grime star Elf Kid and Apexape completing a fitting finale. Drum and bass duo Sigma make a third consecutive summer appearance on June 24 alongside BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam and grime legend Big Narstie as the big hitters keep on coming. Fresh from his recent headline grabbing 24-hour non-stop set, DJ EZ appears on the We Are Rockstars birthday on July 15 with MC majestic and Yungen completing the celebratory line up.

It’s hard to pick out a favourite party, with some world class acts on every single week, making it one of the strongest We Are Rockstars summer seasons to date. Hannah Wants take scentre stage on July 22, Kurupt FM takes its Champagne Steam Room to the stage on July 29, August 19 sees UK garage icons So Solid Crew in the heart of San Antonio and the Rinse FM crew take over the stage on September 2 for a standout show featuring Wiley, Slimzee, Redlight and Sam Supplier. Ibiza 2015 saw reggae/ dancehall titan David Rodigan make a spectacular debut and he returns August 12 and September 16, something he is understandably excited about. David Rodigan MBE said: “After 37 years in the business, We Are Rockstars at Ibiza Rocks Hotel last summer was my debut on the White Isle! Such a mix of people, all loving music for the right reasons. I can’t wait to get back this summer for two shows with some very special guests!”
