UNER Ibiza 2014 Chart Posted on September 22, 2014 share this tweet this Ibiza 2014 has been another significant period in the continuing musical journey of UNER. The Ants residency captures most of the headlines and rightly so, what has happened on Saturday in Ushuaia is phenomenal, starting a party from scratch and achieving the success it has in such a short space of time is no small achievement, especially in the current climate where the outdoor venue is leaning towards the bigger electronic sound for the rest of the week and the DJ collective involved can take huge pride in their contribution. This summer also saw the first mix compilation featuring UNER, Los Suruba and Andrea Oliva, marked with an appropriately crazy, intimate after party inside the hotel early in the summer. Elsewhere, UNER captured the attention at some of the island’s other great parties, Carl Cox’s Music Is Revolution for example, as well Reverse and Blue Marlin Ibiza, where he returns for the closing fiesta on Sunday October 5. In these days of the superstar DJ, where you often have to go through 3 or four intermediaries before reaching the DJ, it’s refreshing to meet someone that is so connected with his fans and who personally answers emails and gets involved in conversations about content. After such a big summer, where he delivered countless amazing performances, destroying dancefloors on and off the island, we asked UNER to come up with his top ten tracks of the season and the reason each one made the chart… Traumer – Hoodium The first time I heard this track I thought – “This will be the track of the summer.” I do not think I was confused, and I’m sure many other artists had the same thought! Of course, one of the bombs that has worked the best for me during these last 3 months! Laurent Garnier – Enchante It has taken until the end of July (available mid-August), but this has become one of the most important in my sets. Maestro Garnier! We would not expect anything less and I am eager to see what other amazing surprises he is preparing for us! Oliver Huntemann – Dooner I played it at ANTS, the first time I closed the main stage and it went really crazy! I had been dropping it everywhere, but I can remember with special emotion this time, which happened from the inside of the big ant! Since then, I have been playing it everywhere around the island. Butch & Hohberg – Rebirth Another one of those songs that when you hear the promo you say BOMB! And so it is! In each session it sounds really crazy! Butch really knows how to move a track through its beats, something he demonstrates again here. Vince Watson – It’s Not Over (C2 Remix) Everyone knows that I’m loving the malodis, but I have gone crazy with this in recent months. With a house vibe and that deep bassline, combined with a good bass and good hi-hats that I put myself, this is a “time bomb” and also 100% Ibiza! Troels Abrahamasen, Kolsh – All That Matters (Monkey Safari MiX) A spoken vocal always helps but in this case we should say, it is a memorable speech! And the names that have joined in this production… OMG! With a sexy theme, an air of love and tenderness, not to mention a bass with a carefree smile, this is an essential track in clubs! UNER – Grey Almost Black Released in early June and since then I have not stopped playing it when the occasion and club allows. Not a track for the big festival but it is perfect for an intimate club, which is where I tend to play it. I won’t say too much about it as it is my track, and that’s not politically correct, but I will say it was produced with LOVE, like all my music. Dubfire feat Miss Kittin – Exit This is another track that works wherever you play it. It has a fresh, strong bass, repetitive voice that carries you through the theme and a focus of effectiveness that only they know how. The strange thing is that, while it may be called ‘Exit, the dancefloor/ crowd never wants this track to end, bringing them even further into the party! Odd Parents – Learn To Fly (Maceo’s 808 Dub) I cannot deny that I love the sound of Ellum and in this case, you could say it’s one of my favorite tracks. It has a strong bass, with great effects on the vocal samples and a simple beep that takes you through the ttheme. An essential tool for DJs! Kavinsky & Lovefoxx – Nightcall (UNER Edit) I first heard it because my manager said to me, listen to this! You have to do something with it! So I did it! I worked on an edit and I played it for the first time in Ibiza, of course at ANTS, and the second time at Sonar! Since then, people ask me about it and I keep playing it. I love the stuff of Kavinsky and since I have been able to adapt it into my sets it has worked perfectly. It was a great idea, thanks Alex! share this tweet this
