On both Monday, October 31st, and Tuesday, November 1st, picturesque restaurant Cala Bonita will host both daytime and nighttime shenanigans that combine delicious food with family-friendly activities and the finest Balearic beats. After a strong first season that earned them rave customer reviews and even saw them scoop up two awards in a recent media poll, the charming eatery in the remote bay of S’Estanyol has firmly established itself as an island favourite thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and delicious culinary offering. The stunning surrounding nature gives the artfully decorated venue an air of peace and serenity, while the expertly put together food menu champions fresh, local ingredients in their purest form. Chic, unpretentious and welcoming, it’s the perfect place to switch off and while the hours away during a day on the beach or a leisurely dinner with family and friends. For Halloween, Cala Bonita has thoughtfully spread out their celebrations over two days. On Monday, competition will be stiff on the island with several of Ibiza’s big name players vying for the pleasure of your company, so it’s a smart move to start proceedings early at 5pm to allow guests the opportunity to enjoy some pre-party cocktails and a relaxed dinner before hitting the dance floor later that night. Famed for their simple but perfectly executed Mediterranean fare, which over the summer has included such treats as salted whole wild lubina with sauce vierge, wood-grilled cuttle fish with black ink and macadamia, salt-baked king prawns with homemade pink pepper sauce and watermelon salad with sheep’s cheese from Santa Gertrudis, herbs and young onion, the skilled kitchen team has put together a special Halloween menu that will undoubtedly be mouthwatering. For your acoustic pleasure, a line-up of well-known island favourites has been put together which will see Andy Baxter, David Cop, Howard Hill and Graham Sahara take to the decks. With the wine and cocktails flowing and a frightfully funky soundtrack in your ear, you’ll soon find yourself dancing on the sands. On Tuesday, the focus will be on the little ones when Cala Bonita will be putting on spooctacular activities for children from 1pm onwards that run all afternoon. A special Halloween menu for kids will help them refuel when the monstrous munchies kick in, while grown-ups can indulge in the restaurant’s varied a la carte menu. One of the venue’s residents will be spinning the tunes, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your time on the beach surrounded by premium beats or even have a little boogie. With the weather predicted to be sunny and pleasantly warm at 23 degrees Celsius – and only a smattering of clouds on the horizon – it will be the perfect antidote to whatever wild Halloween antics you may have got up to the night before.
