Often, we are forced to wait a further seven days to catch another dose of our favourite party brands on the island, which for the holidaymaker in particular, means they’ll most likely experience only a small selection of club nights during their stay. However, there is one brand in particular that has quickly marked its place in Ibiza with various weekly events, catering to different styles of partying from daytime to night time, and in various locations. With its fingers in all kinds of Ibiza pies, underground brand Capadi offers consistent opportunities for revellers to party with them.

The Capadi crew has created an arm to their brand, ‘Rebels’ which exists in the form of a twice weekly catamaran boat party, playing the finest tech and deep house to the hundreds on board. It also host an everyday pre-party to some of the biggest brands on the island at Playa Den Bossa’s popular haunt Tantra, and they’ve even landed themselves a weekly radio slot on Ibiza Global radio. Is there anything else these guys can do? Yes is the answer. Capadi Rebels has impressively secured a weekly residency at one of Ibiza’s most iconic parties, Viva Warriors. It hosts the Spektrum at Sankeys every Sunday, rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene. We headed down to Sankeys to check out what the crew had in store for us in the Cave.

We made our way through the packed basement whilst the sounds of Waifs and Strays blasted from the speakers. After some serious ducking and diving through the hundreds of dancing bodies, we eventually arrived at the Spektrum entrance. Hanging here, were large, gold carved letters spelling Rebels Cave, supported by long silver chains that attached them to the ceiling railings. We were greeted by numerous pieces of quirky decor upon entering the Spektrum, which caught our eye from the word go, and so we delved deeper to take a closer look. The dancefloor was hugged by numerous Persian style rugs, which instantly gave the room a laid back, unpretentious vibe. A sign even hung from the DJ booth reading ‘please take off your shoes’, which directed our eyes to the floor below, where revellers had already parked up their raving boots neatly. The words Capadi Rebels sparkled in red and yellow lights, and appeared just above draping fabric that hung effortlessly from the walls. Dreamcatchers, disco balls and colourful lamps could be seen floating from the ceiling, as rainbows of lights travelled upwards from the DJ booth and across the room. The way in which the popular brand has made the Spektrum its own with homely, with loud yet tasteful decor made for an uber cool, relaxed underground feel.

Hardline stood behind the booth, which was decorated with a sign stating ‘thank god we are rebels’, pumping dub techno sounds that everyone’s feet moving. The unique clubbing setting which Capadi created felt as though we were at a mini festival, as little trinkets such as a disused TV, telephone, tiny plant pots, Buddha and animal ornaments and even fluffy toys surrounded the room on a bed of paisley patterned throws. Clubbers showed full appreciation for the more underground sounds that the brand is clearly passionate about, as they danced the night away on the comfort of carpets. Up next was Chad Andrew back to back with Randall M, who continued with melodic upbeat tracks such as Lapwing – Lauhaus and Ze One – D’Julz, that uplifted us all and made it hard to leave.

The Capadi Revels Cave in Sankeys offered a distinctive clubbing experience, far away from the norm, and opened our eyes to something new. It gets a big thumbs up from us, and we look forward to seeing the brand grow from strength to strength this summer.
