Final Gastronomic Adventure At Coricancha Posted on September 27, 2016 Words: Iain Thomson share this tweet this Blue Marlin Ibiza is one of the most recognizable lifestyle brands on the island and possibly the planet. The stylish beach club/ restaurant on Cala Jondal started an idea that would become a way of life for many around the world, as it evolves to include restaurants in the Marina and next door on Cala Jondal, a magazine, a radio show and international destinations in UAE, Mexico and Turkey. Ibiza 2016 saw yet another addition to its on-island portfolio, in the shape of Coricancha, a stunning eatery that offers its international clientele a mouth-watering Nikkei cuisine, a mixture of Japanese and Peruvian gastronomy. After a perfect debut summer, Coricancha is set to say goodbye with one last celebration, on Wednesday September 28. As with all of the Blue Marlin Ibiza concepts, Coricancha wasted no time in endearing itself to residents and visitors alike, the lounge bar, moonlight garden, sunset terrace and private dining area offering a range of experiences to be enjoyed. Coricancha, or ‘Temple Of The Sun’ refers to the Inca temples of Cusco, Peru, where sun God Inti was worshipped, and offers diners a unique experience as day turns to night and an authentic gastronomic adventure awaits. According to an old Inca myth, the sun god Inti, married to his sister the Moon, sent their two children to teach men how to cultivate the land and to care for animals. Out of this mission Coricancha was born, a tribute to wisdom, homage to the Earth, the reign of a power, which remains dormant today. As you would expect from Blue Marlin Ibiza group, the venue itself is beautiful, it’s surrounding view breathtaking and the level of service first class. The fusion of two exciting and vibrant cuisines, both bursting with flavor and tradition, makes for an unforgettable dining experience and one that you never want to end. Unfortunately, as in all good things, it has to, and Wednesday September 28 is the final sitting so make sure you make the very most of it. The cocktail menu is enough to tempt even the most stoic of sensible drinkers into sampling more than one and the ambiance as day eases into night and venue is transformed with the warm glow of its tastefully positioned lighting adds further to your adventure. Coricancha has been a welcome addition to the island’s restaurant scene offering something unique, stylish, tastefully understated and memorable. share this tweet this
