Relax, Revive And Rejuvenate At Casa Munich Posted on August 14, 2017 Words: Olivia Ebeling Images: La Skimal share this tweet this With its secluded location within the Salinas Nature Park, peaceful gardens and beautifully designed amenities, Casa Munich is a tranquil oasis perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of high season from. This year, the stylish boutique hotel has expanded its wellness area with brand new treatment rooms and outdoor relaxation area, making it even more tempting to book yourself in for some well deserved pampering. For just 20 Euros, visitors who aren’t staying at the tranquil resort can unlock all of its fabulous fitness and spa facilities, which include three swimming pools, a sports area with a tennis court, mobile football goals and a basketball hoop, a bistro style restaurant serving healthy as well as more indulgent dishes, bicycle guests can take out free of charge and, of course, the new wellness area. In the midst of a crazy busy August, we went along to recharge our batteries and erase the signs of too many late nights and a few sunburns, too! After a life-reaffirming coffee in the poolside bistro – the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or light lunch – we strolled up to the treatment rooms, having booked ourselves in for a hydrating and rejuvenating facial. Facing the glittering turquoise waters of a second swimming basin, the new amenities are held in chic greys and neutrals with warm metallic elements, a serene and modern space that invites you to lie back and soak up the soothing atmosphere. Working with two world-renowned brands of 100% natural, high quality cosmetics – Decleor and Ligne St Barth – the experienced team is on hand to find the right treatment and products for your needs. After one look at our parched complexion, our beauty therapist Natalia decided to pamper our skin with a rehydrating, soothing Watch Out After Sun facial using the gorgeous, tropical Ligne St Barth products. She started by cleansing the skin with a gentle cleansing milk, before applying a deliciously fragrant passion fruit peeling, which, we were told, is much more delicate than similar products in order to not irritate sun-challenged skin even further. She then applied a luxurious, rich cream mask made with passion fruit extracts to hydrate and calm our complexion and balance our skin tone, getting rid of any undesirable redness. Once the mask had been left to soak in, Natalia expertly removed the cream with a warm towel before applying a tonic with melon extract to tighten up the pores. An utterly blissful face massage, during which she applied a silky and heavenly scented mango moisturising cream, we reluctantly rolled off the comfortable massage table, our complexion restored to a healthy, even tone and a radiant shimmer. Thanking Natalia for her excellent work, the only problem on our minds was to decide whether to enjoy a nap on the comfy daybeds by the pool, go for a cheeky shop in Casa Munich’s onsite fashion boutique or head to the beauty salon for a blow-dry and professionally applied make-up… What a nice problem to have! Never ones to resist a shopping opportunity, we had a browse around the cute little store, where you can kit yourself and the little ones out with everything from flip flops to the latest swimwear, jewellery and summer dresses, as well as stylish souvenirs from Casa Munich sister venue Nassau Beach Club. Combining great food, blissful pampering, relaxed surroundings and a spot of retail therapy, we couldn’t have picked a better destination for a day of girly fun!
