Defected, one of the biggest record labels and resulting parties on the island, has compiled its picks of the summer and released it out to music lovers around the world. The 30 tracks make up some of the biggest house, tech house and deep house sounds of the season, rendering Most Rated 2017 a must have not only for all DJs, but for all fans of the island’s party scene – whether you’ve made it over here this season or not.

After a hiatus to Croatia in summer 2016, Defected is back for another big year on the White Isle, this time residing at the newly refurbished Eden after a more intimate sunset pre-party at Cafe Mambo. Headed up by DJ and producer Simon Dunmore, the night has attracted an enviable lineup of all-star names throughout the summer to take their turn in the booth. Of his latest venture on the White Isle, Dunmore said: “There’s a genuine and significant buzz [about Defected this season]. We have a great balance to our lineups and through the season we feel that we are offering something fresh to the island.”

Dunmore also said of the night, which sports the tag line ‘In our house we are all equal’: “The line-ups will be equally as adventurous, balancing established names and future talent.” Which goes some way to explaining why the drop of Most Rated Ibiza 2017 has been so hotly anticipated – and why any Ibiza music lover worth their salt will be quick to get their hands on it. The eclectic and modern take on house music opens with Ibiza’s #1 Shazamed record, ‘Cola’ by CamelPhat & Elderbrook. From there, it’s nothing but bangers to follow – Route 94 ‘House and Pressure’, Illyus & Barrientos’ ‘Takin’ Over’, DJ S.K.T ‘Jack That Jack’ and The Sharepshifters’ ‘Lola’s Theme Recut’ (Purple Disco Machine) continue the list of chart-toppers. Further outstanding contributions come from established house heavyweights Sandy Rivera, Infinity Ink, Joey Negro, Bicep and Claptone while emerging talents Girls Of The Internet, The Deepshakerz, Armless Kid and Folamour don’t fail to impress either.
