One Last Week Of Seaside Fun & Food At Babylon Beach Posted on October 25, 2017 Words: Olivia Ebeling share this tweet this While October has been ridiculously good to us, spoiling us with degrees Celsius in the 20s and glorious sunshine, at some point we have to call time on the seemingly never-ending summer fun and allow the kind souls who have been welcoming us at their seaside restaurants and beach clubs to get some well deserved rest. So it is with sadness – but a lot of sympathy – that we bid farewell to Babylon Beach Ibiza this Sunday, October 29th. It’s been another cracking year for the charming chiringuito , which once again wowed us with its imitable relaxed ambience, stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea and mouth-watering culinary offering. From artisanal cocktails to their unforgettable homemade pizza bread and a menu jam-packed with tasty treats and fresh seafood, Executive Chef Filippo Alberi once again knocked it out of the park on the foodie front. Add to that the welcoming front of house team and excellent music and it comes as no surprise that Babylon Beach once again enjoyed a busy summer. This year also saw the addition of the venue’s new speakeasy concept The Secret Door, a hidden away daytime cocktail haunt that serves up some of the most interesting and imaginative creations on the island, often bespoke to the customers wishes. Headed up by bar manager Jorge, this hip cocktail kitchen is run according to the same principles the restaurant adheres to: using only the freshest and, where possible, organic or homemade ingredients for the concoctions. Fans of Babylon Beach still have three days to enjoy their favourite coastal destination, with the beach club opening its doors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 12.00 and 18.00. The kitchen will be open between 13.00 and 16.30, and reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. On Friday, it’s all about fluffy chips and battered fish, with the restaurant celebrating the weekend with the classic British Fish & Chips. Order from a selection that includes chicken liver pate with brioche toast, caramelized onions and butter or soup of the day for starters, Fish & Chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce, baked fish with seasonal salad and chips or vegetable quiche for mains, and sticky toffee pudding with crème fresh fruit crumble with custard for dessert. On Saturdays it’s time for the humble pie to shine, with diners challenged to choose from mouth-watering varieties including Steak & Guinness, Chicken and Fish Pie – or a Vegetable Quiche and side salad for those following a special diet. Babylon Beach will be ending the season in style with its legendary Sunday Roast menu, a feast that offers absolutely divine roast beef, chicken and lamb or a nut roast available for vegetarians. If you’re in for the whole menu, you’re invited to pick either leek soup or chicken liver pate for starters followed by one of the delicious roast options for your main and a selection of all-time favourite desserts such as sticky toffee pudding or apple crumble and custard. Whatever your choice, we promise you it’s a ‘last supper’ you won’t forget in a hurry! Information & Reservations t: +34 971 332 181 fb: www.facebook.com/BabylonBeachIbiza share this tweet this
