Jo Mills Presents Escucha

Friday May 5 from 6pm until 1am sees the launch of Escucha, the latest party concept from celebrated island DJ Jo Mills. The rooftop of Gatzara, the stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Santa Gertrudis is the location, fortnightly on Fridays, where Jo Mills will invite island DJs to join her playing some of the coolest beats on the island. The party launches with guests Andy Baxter and Buckley joining Jo on the roof.

Residencies at many of the island’s finest venues and cutting edge parties, including Circoloco at DC10 as well as Pacha and Eden have made Jo Mills a household island name. Nowadays, she can be found in Nassau Beach and Tanit Ibiza, where her Sunday Pelirocca party has offered residents on the island a cool soundtrack every Sunday. The latest party concept will incorporate the stunning rooftop of much talked about hotel Gatzara, as the talented spinner invites you to bohemian Santa Gertrudis from 6pm to get your weekend off to the best possible start.

For the opening party Jo has invited two of Ibiza’s finest DJs, Andy Baxter and Buckley. Having just featured at Blue Marlin Ibiza’s opening weekend, Andy Baxter is set for another big summer, holding court in many of the finest booths, from chilled afternoon beach vibes to middle of the night roof raising beats. Buckley is a relative newcomer to the island, relocating from the UK, although he has been visiting and playing in Ibiza for over a decade. Resident of Back To Basics, one of the seminal clubland parties as well as releasing tracks on the likes of Hot Creations, he has been at the centre of some of the biggest parties over the years. Combined, the three DJs offer a vast array of talent, an acute understanding of Ibiza and some tasty nuggets to get you in the groove for the weekend.
