Do Not Sleep Ibiza

Sunday in Privilege’s much-loved Vista Club sees Do Not Sleep bring an underground flavor to one of the world’s most famous clubs on a weekly basis throughout Ibiza 2015. Perhaps as significant as securing the special clubbing space for its residency was the news that its season residents would be Darius Syrossian, Santé and Sidney Charles, who promised some exciting back to back to back action this summer. Do Not Sleep offers an edgy party, for those that love to see underground musical boundaries challenged, to see DJs at the top of their game go head to head and, most importantly, who love a unique atmosphere in which to enjoy their music, delivered by some of the world’s best DJs and producer. The final line up has been announced and it promises to be a special debut, with highlights throughout the summer residency.

Do Not Sleep opens officially on Sunday July 12 but there is a special pre-opening party first, on June 14, which sees respected Italian combo Flashmob joined by rising Glasgow based talent Jasper James for a one-off welcome gathering for the Do Not Sleep Crew. IN keeping with the original Ibiza ethos that the party is keen to portray, the party was meant to be free and on the beach but moving it to the home for the season makes more sense and gives fans of the cutting edge crew a chance to sample the vibe before things kick off in earnest on July 12. There will also be 500 tickets given away for the pre-party as well as free entry for everyone with Do Not Sleep workers bands. The trio of residents is understandably looking forward to what promises to be a big summer, kicking off with the June 14 teaser; ‘When our residency was confirmed, we wanted to do a 1 off party with free tickets, to show to people we want to give something back, for the people on the dancefloor! so we decided on a 1 off event with free tickets and also free to workers with do not sleep wristbands.

The official line up announcement has thrown up some interesting and musically exciting pairings, none mess than the opening on Sunday July 12 which sees a back to back to back from Daruius Syrossian, Santé and Sidney Charles (which will feature throughout the residency) as well as a DJ set from Totally Extinct Dinosaur, a special back to back that will be announced nearer the time and Bones. There are names to look out for throughout the line up, Dennis Ferrer drops in on July 19, Paul Woolford makes his appearance on August 2, Reboot is the special guest on August 23 and they have a special line up planned for the closing party on September 6, which is being kept under wraps for the moment. These are just some of the highlights, the Sunday residency is literally littered with talented DJs and producers, some fantastic back to back spin offs with the focus firmly placed on offering underground music lovers something different every week. The Vista Club offers an old school clubbing space, with a huge soundsytem taking pride of place and the unique ability to watch the sun rise from the middle of the dancefloor. Ibiza 2015 is set for another new addition, one that promises exciting line ups and unforgettable clubbing moments as it reminds us that… “cool kids Do Not Sleep”.
