Silent Noize Returns To Sankeys

Ibiza loves finding new ways to party and savour the excellent music the island is famous for, so it’s no surprise that Silent Noize Ibiza, the Balearic take on the popular ‘silent disco’ concept, went down a storm when it made its White Isle debut in 2016. Teaming up with underground mecca Sankeys in Playa d’en Bossa for a rooftop party unaffected by the usual strict regulations around music being played outside after midnight, revelers loved being able to rave it up in the balmy Ibizan breeze underneath the starry sky.

The upcoming 2017 season will see Silent Noize return to the popular night club to follow on from last year’s hit collaboration. Andrew, a representative of Sankeys, says, “After assessing the success of Silent Noize on our terrace last season the decision to extend their contract was an easy one. The Silent Noize technology allowed us to keep the terrace open until closing and allowed our customers to party without noise disturbance in an outside area.”

So how does it work? Using only the most technologically advanced headphones, clubbers can choose between three channels, each playing a different style of music, to enjoy the ultimate party experience with a group of friends even if they have totally different tastes. At Sankeys, however, due to the fact that partygoers are already united by their love of the finest in underground house and techno, this is reduced to one channel, which transmits a live set played by the venue’s talented residents.

Last year saw popular Tribal Sessions crew members Reff and Kellie Allen take over the booth that was synched up with the wireless headphones worn by the clubbers on the roof, totally immersing them into the sound while allowing them to enjoy a different – and arguably less sweaty – party experience while dancing the night away under the island’s night sky. Far from being awkward, partygoers bonded over this novel way to rave it up and felt united by the feeling of being in their own little world of premium beats and lofty surroundings, all shaking their hips to the same bassline, while underneath them the rest of the club was raging on without interrupting their night.

It’s another example of Sankeys embracing new technology and quirky ideas to give their extended clubbing family the ultimate party experience.
