When we catch up with the concierge and catering power players, our mind boggles as we begin to comprehend the full scale of the services and quality products they offer. Here, Alexandra and Daniel reveal how their passion for the White Isle and excellence in customer service led them to build one of the most inspiring businesses on the island…

Which different businesses belong to the Samos Group and what services and products do they offer?
To sum it up, we specialise in giving our customers the perfect Ibiza experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Thanks To SIX Communication we can organise your entire stay as if you had a whole team of concierges working for you, covering transportation, accommodation, activities… you name it! In our beach club, Pura Vida, all we want our guests to do is relax and have the perfect day, whether that means having lunch at the restaurant or lying stress-free at the beach. If it’s a special occasion or private event like a birthday party that brought our client to the island, the Ibiza Catering will take care with excellent attention to every bite they enjoy. And if our client is staying at a villa and want to make the most of the time they have on the White Isle, Samos Deli online shop will bring the best quality products to wherever they might be.

How long have you been in Ibiza and when did you open your company?
My parents started the Samos Deli in 1971 and from there, all the lines of work started blooming. I took over the business 11 years ago, feeling that I could do a lot more, and that’s when we built Pura Vida. When Alex arrived on the island eight years ago, she created SIX Communication, which was a perfect match to what we had already going on but we knew we could do better still and so we launched The Ibiza Catering in 2010 to cover all services.

What is most important to you in all your businesses?
We specialise in people. We get to know our clients personally and turn them into our friends. How do we do that? Easy! Careful listening, attention to detail and established professional partners, so nothing is left untied.

What are you most passionate about?
Instead of ‘what’, we´d say it’s a ‘where’. We love Ibiza. This island has given us so much that we feel we owe it, so that´s why all our efforts focus on showing the island to others, making sure they see the island as we do – the perfect place to live, work, enjoy or, why not, build a family!

Are there any challenges of running several companies?
There always are, but to keep control of all of them we treat them as individual business while still taking care of the connection points they have. So in the end, it feels like you are just running one big company.

How do you feel about the upcoming season? What are you most looking forward to?
We have noticed a constant growth in the amount of our clients, so this year we are expecting to work a little more than the last one! And as every year, we look forward to work harder and better, since that´s what we aim for, excellence.

Which services or products are new for this summer?
One of the new services is the online shop, where Samos Deli delivers our high quality products to any customer – no matter where they might be staying.

What has been the most unique or challenging service or product you have provided?
Each event is a new adventure and there is always something special about it or a moment to remember. The good thing is that we are great problem solvers, and with every issue that occurs we try to have fun solving it.

Are there any services or products you can provide that people wouldn’t necessarily know about or expect?
Always, and that´s the best part of the creative process. Sometimes it’s just finding the right decoration, playing a song that we know they will love or even choosing an outstanding fire show. When we brainstorm, we have very few limits.

What is your favourite thing about Ibiza?
It’s like another world where the common rules don´t apply. If you want to have a pet lion, go for it (we have actually once seen this). Need to sleep? Not really, because somehow, you always find the energy to do whatever you feel like doing. Want to disappear offshore? Easy. Want to throw the biggest party ever? Just as easy. There are as many different versions of Ibiza as there are people. To sum it up, Ibiza is the place where you can be free.
