La Belle Ibiza Welcomes Spring Festival

Spring has arrived in Ibiza. How do we know? The Ibiza Spring Festival has just happened of course. With three parties across the weekend, the culmination of which was La Belle Ibiza on Sunday as Ibiza residents turned out in force to join the celebration. La Belle Ibiza is no stranger to hosting some late night shenanigans, its indoor / outdoor setting offering the perfect space for every season.

Sunday was all about the indoors, where a special sound system from L-Acoustics gave the venue a genuine big club feel and with a selection of talented spinners from the island, supporting French DJ/ producer/ promoter Edouard of La Belle Epoque and Overground fame, it was no surprise at the strong turnout. There have been regular reasons to hit the dancefloor in Ibiza this winter but it can still be a particularly insular period, where people stick to their home turf. With the declaration that Spring has sprung, in the shape of the multi-event series for Ibiza Spring Festival, hibernation is officially over.

Heading to San Rafael for a party is not an unusual occurrence, La Belle Ibiza has become known for its fantastic themed events as well as some cool boutique parties. The stylish French eatery has made great use of its multi-space venue, hosting some fantastic al fresco events during the summer and moving into the cosy lounge during the winter. As the venue gets set to open for the new season – April 20 – the doors opened for a one-off collaboration in the new festival. The party utilised the garden before moving over to the restaurant, moving the tables and chair out of the way, creating a large dancefloor and, with the chunky sound system and selection of artists at the very top of their game, the result was a roof threatening atmosphere.
