Ibiza Loves Hyte

Making an impact on Ibiza can often take several summer seasons, with the magnitude of clubbing activity that goes on throughout the condensed season, and the countless parties, catching the attention of the army of clubbers that descends, many with their itinerary already complete for their trip, can be tricky. That’s what makes the debut season that Hyte is enjoying all the more impressive. Taking on a weekly Wednesday residency in Amnesia, one of the island’s foremost venues, might have been viewed by some as a gamble but the team behind the new island party boasts a serious pedigree when it comes to club experience. The resulting mayhem every Wednesday is testament to this understanding of what it takes to build a successful club party, whether it is in your home town or on the biggest stage of them all.

The pre-season build up from the new party was genius, the “blah blah blah” campaign caught the attention of all would-be Ibiza travellers this summer and the rumour that Loco Dice was about to end his island exile and return as a regular for Hyte and Chris Liebing would be one of the residents further fuelled the speculation behind the brand new Amnesia Wednesday night. Now, speculation and expectations are one thing, delivering and turning the hype into some tangible and trusted is another and that is what Hyte has done to perfection. A series of amazing line ups, some high profile DJs, including Loco Dice and Maceo Plex, delivering memorable performances has ensured that this is a debut to remember. Ibiza has another genuine contender when it comes to the vote of the underground set and Amnesia can boast yet another innovative and exciting resident. The focus has definitely been on the music, limited production has seen the famous club stripped back to basics on a Wednesday and the Ibiza crowd is lapping it up.

There are still several weeks of the summer left in which to become acquainted with Hyte, and there are plenty of reasons to do so. The first comes as early as Wednesday August 19 when Maceo Plex headlines another sterling line up of cutting edge genius! Joining the talented DJ/ producer on the Terrace this week is Odd Parents and special guest John Talabot, while the Club features Chris Liebing, Monoloc and Renato Ratier. The variety of talent that has appeared for Hyte so far this summer has been one of the reasons for its success, with talented performers from all over clubland making the trip to Ibiza to feature in some memorable Wednesday night parties. From genuine legends of the scene like Robert Hood as Floorplan, and Kenny Dope to proven underground performers such as tINI, Guti, DJ Koze and Bicep, to name only a few. Capturing the attention of the underground clubbers that live on and visit Ibiza is never easy but it is something that Hyte has managed to do time and again this summer, resulting in one of the true success stories of Ibiza 2015.
