We Are Rockstars Line Up 2015

We Are Rockstars (W.A.R!) has announced details of its 2015 line up and Fridays nights are never going to be the same again! From the Ibiza Rocks stage in the heart of San Antonio to the centre of the Basement in Sankeys Playa D’en Bossa, it promises to be the biggest summer yet. Launching on June 5 and running until September 18, W.A.R! is set to welcome the very best of UK talent, including Gorgon City, Skepta, Sigma, Hanna Wants and much more! Pioneering grime act Boy Better Know deliver two excusive firsts and legendary David Rodigan MBE presents Ram Jam.

Ibiza 2015 sees W.A.R. return to the iconic live stage in the heart of Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio for its fourth season, armed with what could arguably be its biggest and most diverse line up to date, featuring some of the heavyweight acts that have dominated the UK scene for the last year or so, bringing a variety of genres to the Friday night event, all with one thing in common – an ability to smash it! From house to techno, garage, grime and drum & bass, the list of protagonists is as long as it is distinguished, 2015 sees the return of Gorgon City, Sigma and Hannah Wants, three of the biggest guests of previous seasons. There is an exclusive show from Boy Better Know as well as David Rodigan MBE, Rinse FM and Thump as the popular party continues to push musical parameters on a weekly basis. The addition of David Rodigan MBE is a mouth watering proposition as he brings ‘Ram Jam’ to Ibiza for the first time, with support from SHY FX, Toddla T and Miss Dynamite in September. He is understandably optimistic about the debut; “Very excited to be bringing Ram Jam to the Island for the very first time with my good pals Shy FX & Toddla T in tow! Sunshine and reggae, the killer combination!”

It’s not just about new friends this summer, there’s also a return for some W.A.R! favourites, including BBC 1 Xtra’s Mista Jam and Redlight, as well as Example and DJ Wire, who will perform their ’10 Years Of Ibiza’ set. June sees W.A.R. undergo a garage takeover from Thump, with DJ EZ headlining a line up that incudes some of the best new breed DJs, including Chris Lorenzo, co-producer on Hanna Wants top ten UK single ‘Rhymes’, as well starlet Preditah and younger brother C4. The 2015 line up is an amazing array of talent and styles that promises to underline the philosophy that has made W.A.R! the big success it is. Jordan Hallpike, W.A.R! promoter is clearly looking forward to the new season; “2015 marks our 10th year in Ibiza as well as our 4th year for W.A.R! and it’s another genuinely exciting year for electronic and UK talent. Having heavyweights we’ve always championed like Gorgon City, Hannah Wants and Sigma sit alongside headliners of the future such as Stormzy, Novelist, Chris Lorenzo, Mella Dee and Preditah is what really sets us apart from other promoters on the Island. A highlight for me will be our Ibiza exclusive with Boy Better Know and also, who would have thought that David Rodigan MBE hasn’t been to Ibiza? As a huge fan I’m buzzing to bring him to the island for the very first time – Ram Jam in the sunshine is a show that’s not to be missed! I’m also really looking forward to launching SHELTER at Sankeys with trailblazers of the electronic underground scene such as Shadowchild, TEED, Waze & Odyssey and Oliver Dollar. We’ve always wanted a W.A.R! afterparty and we’ve finally found the perfect venue for us. Two parties. One night. Exciting times all round.”

The cherry on top is the news that Ibiza Rocks, W.A.R! and Sankeys Ibiza will collaborate on Shelter, a brand new after party for the Froday night. It will se a ghost of respected labels, radio stations and festivals also get involved, with Moda Black, Rinse FM and Bugged Out! Already committed to the new event. Ibiza Rocks celebrates its tenth anniversary this summer and it has gone all out to make sure it celebrates in style. Shelter will have its roots firmly in house and techno with W.A.R! resident Doorly adding his considerable talent – respected DJ and producer that has had numerous releases on influential labels like Dirtybird, Cajual & Toolroom – steering the ship on a weekly basis. Shelter will launch on Friday May 22 with Disciples and Eli & Fur joining Doorly and expect to see the likes of TEED, Shadow Child, Oliver Dollar, Bondax, Toddla T, Waze & Odyssey, Jaymo & Andy George, Kidnap Kid, Disciples, Chris Lorenzo, TCTS, Eli & Fur and Krywolf joining in the fun throughout the season.
