Walking Ibiza was founded by long-term island residents Toby and Belinda Clarke, who are keen to show the natural beauty of the island to visitors and those based on the White Isle alike. Following a spur of the moment idea, some years ago Toby decided to walk around the entire island with just 1 Euro in his pocket and his dog Cosmo for company. Relying on the universe and the good people of Ibiza to look after him, he set off with just a tent, a sleeping bag, enough food and water for one day and his loyal companion Cosmo, to return 12 days later with a whole new perspective and a desire to share the incredible vistas he’s discovered with others.

One of their most exciting offers are the weekly Sunset Kayak tours, which cover routes that incorporate both land and sea at the most magical time of the day. Join the two weekly community trips on their expedition from the picturesque Northern village of San Miguel to the iconic Benirras beach, where hippies gather to drum as the fiery ball disappears into the glittering waters. Leaving from the beach in Port de San Miguel, after an introduction to the tandem kayaks the group paddles out onto the calm and crystal clear waters of Ibiza, exploring fascinating caves and picturesque fishing huts en route before dropping into the neighbouring bay where Benirras’ iconic rock formation, the Finger of God, greets you. After heading to shore to listen to the infectious drumming and perhaps enjoy some refreshments, you will watch the sunset at sea near the famous rock.

Walking Ibiza’s public community sunset kayaking tours leave every Wednesday and Sunday from Port de San Miguel beach at 18.45. All guides are fully trained in guiding walks, trained in first aid and have the correct licences to guide walks on Ibiza. The team is multi-lingual and speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch. The cost per head is 40 Euros, and participants need to pre-book through the website. If you prefer to arrange a private tour with your nearest and dearest, which can also be undertaken in the daytime, the price is 240 Euros for up to six people, and 40 Euros per person for groups over six.
