We might be in September now, but with almost a whole month still to go until Ibiza Sea Party’s official closing bash on October 1st, there is still plenty of time to enjoy the boat ride of a lifetime! Spending a day out on the azure waters of the Mediterranean sea, chasing thrills on a white-knuckle jet ski ride, dancing to infectious beats with a posse of like-minded people on the floating dance floor… A day cruising around the Balearic islands with Ibiza Sea Party is one of the most exciting experiences you can have during your holiday. We went along to check out their sunset boat party experience…

From the second we arrived at the meeting point at Albatros Bar in Playa d’en Bossa, the energy and excitement of our fellow crew members for the day was palpable. The trendy crowd was eagerly queuing up and, after a rousing warm-up from Ibiza Sea Party MC Clever T, couldn’t wait to get going. Picking up a complimentary welcome drink and some fresh fruit slices – all drinks and food are included in the price of your ticket – we headed to the upper deck to make the most of the views on Ibiza’s longest beach and, further in the distance, Ibiza Town and its historic core Dalt Vila.

DJ Ribz was on duty of the soundtrack for the day and wasted no time in starting to drop some deep and driving beats on a tech edge as we made our way to the first stop of the route, when the boat moors so revellers can enjoy adrenalin-fuelled water sports.

Two jet skis arrived, ready to take thrill seekers for a wild ride across the waves, showing off their speed as they whizzed past the boat. Naturally, most passengers were keen to have a go, jumping into the waters to take their turn and returning with huge smiles on their faces. Those who didn’t fancy a go used the opportunity to make new friends on board, with everyone enjoying the warm sunshine, party atmosphere and energetic music.

Moving along the coast, the party was beginning to kick into gear with DJ Ribz dropping some of the biggest current tracks in electronic music. Revellers were letting loose both on the lower and upper deck, showing off their moves and soaking up the heady atmosphere. The refreshing swim stop came just at the right time, allowing passengers to cool off in the refreshing waters. Clever T took over the decks, playing a more relaxed but no less infectious set of reggaeton that got those remaining on board shaking their hips and dipping down low. A generous portion of fresh paella, salad and bread helped us to refuel as we headed off into the golden glow of magic hour. Watching the sun disappear behind the hills, with the sky fading into pastel pinks and purple, it was a magical moment.

With the disappearance of the sun, the party proceedings could begin in earnest. Clever T appeared on the very rooftop of the boat to fire on the revellers who couldn’t wait to get involved. Of course the famous fizz shower couldn’t be amiss, whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Having found their sea legs, everyone got stuck into the dance games with aplomb. The atmosphere was sky high and remained at peak level as the sky turned dark.

With the lights of Playa d’en Bossa sparkling in the background, no one was keen to abandon the fun, but eventually we had to return to shore. But, with admission to a big selection of the island’s biggest clubs included in your Ibiza Sea Party ticket, all we had to do for the party to continue was to pick our favourite and head off into the night…
