As soon as we heard that one of the luxurious Nobu Hotels was coming to the White Isle, we got very, very excited. Synonymous with a premium and hip lifestyle thanks to not only its growing global portfolio of resorts, but also the world-famous Japanese restaurants, we knew the arrival of the brand in Ibiza would mean an influx of quality food. The stylish new accommodation option in Talamanca Bay is set to open at the end of this month, and brings with it not one, but three exciting foodie destinations, one which we are particularly excited about: Peyotito Ibiza.

Part of the Peyote Group, which is behind the original Peyotito restaurant in London’s trendy Notting Hill area, as well as two Peyote sister venues in London and Dubai, the new foodie hotspot will be located within the Nobu Hotel’s ground, bringing the vibrant spirit of modern Mexico City to the White Isle with its contemporary and refined take on delicious Mexican food. Ibiza’s culinary scene is growing every year, and while last summer seemed to be dominated by trendy ceviche eateries popping up all over the island, Mexican cuisine is still somewhat underrepresented – making Peyotito a very welcome edition indeed.

Conceived by Eduardo Garcia and Adriana Cavita, who also created the mouth-watering menus for the Peyote Groups other eateries, Peyotito Ibiza will offer diners its own unique signature dishes fusing Mexican fare with authentic Spanish and Ibicencan influences, as well as some of the most popular dishes from its sister venues. The culinary offering will boast elegant dishes based around main themes including ensaladas, crudos, ceviche, moles and maza, re-inventing Mexican dishes in tune with seasonal changes, and perfecting an ever-changing, superfood-packed gluten-free menu, perfect for the epicurean local and international diners of today. Guests can expect gourmet treats such as Verde Vuelve a la Vida with Lubina (a local Ibicencan fish) and Papas with chorizo and chili pasilia to delight their palettes, served up in stylish but earthy surroundings with a vibrant and down-to-earth atmosphere.

Peyotito’s philosophy very much encourages family and friends to gather around the table and share several tasty dishes, coming together to enjoy great food and company. The extensive cocktail list extensive cocktail list includes favourite mezcal concoctions such as the signature Peyotito Margarita; a refined version of London’s shaken Margarita with a spicy Tajin rimmed glass, blanco tequila, Cointreau, agave syrup, lime juice and a Mezcal vial for you to personalise the flavor. It’s the perfect refreshing tipple to toast the end of another sun-soaked day on the White Isle.
