Melon Bomb Goes Off At Pacha This Weekend

With many of our favourite venues opening their doors this weekend to welcome the 2017 season, Ibiza is set for a busy few days. One party that will have music lovers flock to the dance floor from all corners of the island, making it the end destination in a whirlwind of events, is Melon Bomb, a concept that has islanders talking about each of its fun-fuelled parties days in advance. In fact, ‘Are you coming to Melon Bomb?’ has got to be one of the most used phrases on the White Isle this spring!

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Melon Bomb will be opening the Blues Stage at Silver Hayes at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, on Saturday, April 29th, the crew of DJs is set to take over the hallowed halls of Pacha Ibiza, with a special guest joining them in the booth in the shape of underground disco heroes Crazy P. It’s a musical match made in heaven as Melon Bomb’s signature funky and infectious fusion of electronic soul, disco, funk and even hip hop anthems effortlessly syncs up with the slinky and sexy sound of the internationally renowned band. Also joining the fun will be Pacha veteran Graham Sahara, a well-known face on the island whose talent for rocking a crowd has seen him win a legion of fans across the globe.

With several further Ibiza-based parties already in sight, 2017 is shaping up to be Melon Bomb’s biggest year yet, having deservedly established itself as the island’s hottest event after captivating the hearts of residents and visitors in-the-know alike. Started by a collective of island-favourite DJ talent, including Scott Gray, Ben Santiago, Paul Reynolds and Corbi, the concept’s eclectic and irresistible sound mixes rare groove, soul, funk and deep house, all expertly cut and spun into an intoxicating whirlwind of pure good vibes. Having played several iconic venues in Ibiza including the legendary Pikes Hotel, Tanit Beach Ibiza, Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel and, of course, Pacha, the Melon Bomb crew rarely stops and has kept residents and off-season tourists grooving all the way through last winter.
