Ibiza Comes To Studio 338

It’s not unusual for a thriving club party or label to look to Ibiza to host some events and raise its profile, the clubbing capital after all is home to clubbers from all over the world during the summer as well as artists, labels and a chunk of the dance music media. What’s not quite so usual is one venue, in this case South London’s Studio 338, inviting a host of proven Ibiza parties to visit them, putting together a comprehensive series of events that brings the flavour of the Balearic island to its loyal following. The second half of the summer sees Space Ibiza, Flower Power, Elrow, Sankeys, Art Of Dark and Cocoon all drop into the popular terrace for what promises to be an exciting end of the summer.

Studio 338 boasts a covered outside terrace with a difference, the glass roof allows the light to beam in as well as allowing clubbers on the floor to see the stars after dark, it delivers a truly unique clubbing vibe that has taken the capital by storm. The venue also boasts a roof top terrace for those better nights, an arena in its car park and multiple other rooms, all powered by a state of the art sound system and a team that is passionate and educated when it comes to its dance music, it’s the perfect package! The Ibiza season kicks off on Saturday August 8, as Space Ibiza celebrates its 25th anniversary with a party that features some true Ibiza legends in the shape of Alfredo, Tania Vulcano, Italo Johnson, Hector and Bill Patrick. It’s a proper statement of intent and one that really gives a sample of the Balearic vibe of the island.

August 22 sees Flower Power make its debut off the island. Ibiza’s longest running residency, which takes thousands of revelers back in time every Tuesday in Pacha Ibiza, drops in to give London clubbing a taste of the 60s as only it knows how. Piti, Victor Nebot and Maze & Masters deliver the nostalgic musical journey as Studio 338 gets set for a Flower Power makeover! The Ibiza carnival continues on September 5 when world-renowned party specialists Elrow pick up the baton and brings its colourful performers, dancers and acrobats to 338 with the promise of a special musical guest joining residents De La Swing, Toni Varga and Dan Wild. The ‘Rowshow’ is another first for the celebrated venue. The Ibiza parties continue throughout September as Steve Lawler brings his Viva Warriors to 338 on September 19 from 15.00 until 06.00 for a summer BBQ. The party sees the popular spinner deliver an extended set, joined in the booth by Claude Von Stroke, Point G, Djebali, Detlef, Denney, SEFF, Anek and Monday Club. September 26 is the turn of much loved Art Of Dark, who take a break from their fortnightly Underground Ibiza residency for the summer closing party featuring techno talents in the shape of Romanian Petre Inspirescu, Margaret Dygas, a very special guest, Mandar (live), Laurine, Colin Chiddle, Cristi Cons, Charlie Dave Kent and Iain Kemz.

The final Ibiza collaboration is definitely one worth waiting for, as Saturday October 3 sees Sven Väth and Cocoon invade London for a spectacular celebration of yet another outstanding Ibiza season (its sixteenth). Cocoon on the Terrace is a fitting finale for a season of Ibiza summer parties and with the memory of the previous collaboration still fresh in the mind of everyone lucky enough to be there, this is going to be something very special. Joining Sven in the booth are label mates Dana Ruh and Carlo Pisaturo. It marks the end of an unprecedented series of Ibiza inspired parties that brings the clubbing capital to South London for the summer, giving those of you that haven’t made the island this year a chance to savour its unique clubbing vibe and for those that have, the opportunity to relive the best nights of your life, in your own neighbourhood.
