Thursday night in Amnesia Ibiza is a clubbing bucket list must have and one that is shared by thousands of dance music fans from all over the world. The long running party has achieved its longevity through its unwavering commitment to quality and an ability to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to identifying new talent. Many of the superstars that dominate clubbing headlines all year round are quick to accept the invitation to play at the Thursday night party, having experienced the unique partisan atmosphere that both rooms deliver on a weekly basis. This years line up is like a who’s who of the electronic dance music scene, as Cream pulls out all the stops to celebrate it’s twentieth anniversary in style. Calvin Harris returns after a triumphant collaboration in 2013, Steve Angello shows us Size matters, Above & Beyond are popular Cream regulars and the controversial Deadmau5 delivers an exclusive performance. Cream stalwart Paul Oakenfold crosses the pond to join in the celebrations, new blood Martin Garrix makes his Cream Ibiza debut and there are returns to the Amnesia booth for the likes of Laidback Luke, Eddie Halliwell, Paul van Dyk and Eric Prydz. The actual birthday party takes place on Thursday July 31 and sees some of the Cream Ibiza legends of the last two decades return for a monster party with Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, John O’Callaghan and Adam Sheridan in the main rom and Eric Prydz, Laidback Luke, Dirty South and Anthony Probyn taking care of Terrace duties. To celebrate the twentieth anniversary Cream has added an extra date to this year’s schedule, with 16 parties throughout the summer.
