Ants On Tour Posted on February 3, 2016 share this tweet this Having firmly established itself as one of the must-visit parties in Ibiza for discerning music lovers, Ants has been on a mission to spread its underground gospel and recruit clubbers to the colony, I the shape of a tour that kicks off in spectacular fashion in Manchester’s Albert Hall on Friday February 5 2016, before heading to London, Mayrhofen and Eindhoven… Saturday night in Ushuaia Ibiza is most definitely where Ants feels most at home, the party that was launched to offer workers and tourists an underground vibe in the huge outdoor arena has become one of the biggest on the clubbing capital. The black costumes of the Ants can be seen throughout the island promoting the weekly summer party and the soundtrack that has become synonymous with the Saturday is loved by clubbers from all over the world, making its residents into household names and playing host to numerous international cutting edge talent. Ants does, however, enjoy a sortie into international territory when it is taking a break from Ibiza. Having hosted numerous sold out parties around the world previously, Ants is no stranger to going on the road and its latest tour sees it drop in on some historically vibrant clubbing cities, kicking off with Manchester’s Albert Hall on Friday February 5. In keeping with its musical philosophy, Ants has assembled a line up bursting with talent, with long serving resident Andrea Oliva joined by Maya Jane Coles, Nic Fanciulli and Steve Lawler. It’s a fantastic start to the mini-tour and one that underlines the status of the relatively new party that it can call on so many international heavyweights, many of whom have already graced the stage at Ushuaia. Saturday February 27 sees the colony move south, to the UK capital and to London’s Electric Brixton in a collaboration with established UK promoters Lock N Load for what promises to a monster event, launching the relationship between London and Ants. Andrea Oliva is on hand once again, joined this time by Lauren Lane, Noir, SecondCity and Waze & Odyssey. It’s another big line up, full of talent that is no stranger to the educated London club crowd and one that promises to deliver a fitting representation of the popular Ibiza party. Proving that there is no place that the Ants can’t feel at home, the colony heads to the snow covered caps of Austria and to Snowbombing Mayrhofen on Tuesday April 5 to add it considerably musical weight to the festival that runs from April 4 – 9. The Racket Club is the venue and the line up produces something very special indeed. Headlining the event will be techno giant Sven Väth, joined by Nic Fanciulli, Andrea Oliva and Ben Pearce. Whether in the heat of the summer in the open-air surroundings of Ushuaia or the top of the mountain during ski season, there is nowhere that doesn’t benefit from the musical journey that an Ants party provides. The final stop on the tour takes place on Saturday July 9 in Eihnhoven as the colony joins the Extrema Outdoor Festival in the Netherlands. Matthias Tanzmann and Route 94 have been confirmed already but there are more names to be announced. It is a whirlwind few months for Ants and the colony, as the build up to Ibiza 2016 continues, but if you are in or near any of the cities lucky enough to be part of the tour, you don’t have to wait until the summer to get your fix of the unique party vibe that it generates. share this tweet this
