If there is one place on earth where you can really push the boat out with your summer wardrobe, it’s Ibiza. From statement swimwear for the beach, to casual cool outfits to explore town in or a sexy new look to stand out in the middle of a crowded dance floor, variety truly is the spice of life when it comes to White Isle style. So, in look for some fresh #inspo, we headed to the gorgeous Cotton Beach Club last night to attend the Ibiza launch of Brazilian lingerie and swimwear brand Kandy Privé and French accessories label Displace, pulled together by the jet-setting event concept Motel Label.

Held at one of the White Isle’s most stunning venues, rooftop restaurant FAY at Cotton Beach Club, the evening was fuelled by a high-octane mix of stylish surroundings, great music, eye-catching fashion and a tasty culinary offering. The fashionable crowd that had turned out for the event toasted the occasion with refreshing cocktails and chilled wines, indulging in mouth-watering bites fresh from the Cotton kitchen such as creamy hummus on wafer thin nachos, mozzarella, tomato and basil sticks and crispy battered king prawns with a spicy chilli dip.

Motel Label founder Rafael told us a little more about the night ahead, explaining, “We are a new kind of sunset party which is moving back to back between Miami, Dubai, St Tropez and Ibiza. Motel Label fuses electronic music, fashion and beauty from Brazil, and this is our first event on the White Isle. We want to showcase Brazilian DJs, fashion and beauty brands, and after the success of tonight we’re hoping to hold another event in September, before heading to Miami.”

Just as the sun began to make it’s descend, the first models began to strut down the spectacular catwalk, with the glittering Mediterranean sea and the gentle cliffs of Cala Tarida as their backdrop. Kandy Privé, a sensual and sophisticated lingerie and beachwear brand made in Brazil, showcased a collection that was both sexy and elegant, incorporating several hot summer trends that made each piece a welcome addition to the Ibiza wardrobe.

Colour-blocking sensual nude shades with classy black, decorating delicate sheer fabric with colourful floral embroidery and playing with pastel shades, we spotted several pieces that could easily make the transition from beach to bar. Flowing kaftans that were artfully shredded to reveal a hint of skin, as well as breezy skirts and playful ruffle detailing nailed the quintessential glamour of Ibiza while retaining the quality to translate easily to other destinations thanks to their timeless chic.

Natalia Franco and Camila Goulart, the duo behind Kandy Privé, told us, “We started out as a lingerie brand, but we realised there was a lack in the market for beachwear that has the same specific sizing and fits that underwear offers. All our pieces are very comfortable and you can adjust them to fit your body. Also, some of the designs can easily take you from beach to restaurant, as they are so adaptable.”

The chic looks were completed with limited edition tote bags from Parisian label Displace, and given an additional flourish with detachable beaded feather tassels by German accessories brand Lieb Ju. We instantly fell in love with Displace’s cool prints, all original images from selected photographers that have been closely zoomed in so you have to work out what they are. Topping our must-have list were a snap of the tarmac at Ibiza airport, and a close-up of a washing machine with a super cool Mickey Mouse t-shirt pressed up against the glass.

Designer Isa Ades told us, “We take photos from daily life, for example the shot of the old gate, and we love to capture ordinary moments. There are only 50 bags of each model and the materials are very high quality, everything is handmade in Paris.” As the evening came to a close, guests had the opportunity to snap up their favourite looks there and then, which we took as a queue to grab our credit cards and run before doing too much damage to our bank balance, instead leaving with our summer wardrobe wish list several items longer…
