Words by Paige Raquel. If you like your views breathtaking and your venues open-air, Cova Santa’s mountain terrace party mecca should be right on your radar. Kind of like the dazzling treehouse hideout you’ve imagined in your childhood daydreams, the restaurant, lounge garden and club is a must-do during your Ibiza holiday. With the sun setting in the distance and the music humming through the warm island air, a special tone with an electrifying vibe is set for the evening ahead, leaving your senses buzzing.

Teaming up for a brand new concept at Cova Santa this year are Amnesia Ibiza and Together, bringing you the jacked up, bass-driven Rhythm and Waves. On the bill for the latest edition were UK heavyweights Katy B and Tinie Tempah with live performances that had the enthusiastic, feverish crowd eating out of their hands, making it the perfect way to begin an evening.

From performing new tunes to stand-out hits, Katy B’s energy on stage was unmatched. Connecting with her crowd and setting the room ablaze with her dynamic vocals and bouncy moves, the singer gave the kind of stand-out performance her loyal fans have come to expect. Favourites like Lights On and Katy On A Mission had the crowd singing along loudly, while new music from her latest album Honey – created with UK producers Chris Lorenzo and Wilkinson – were well-received.Rhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuRhythm & Waves by Andrei Oprescu????????????????????????????????Drum and Bass fans danced their hardest to So Far Away and the audience roared for I Wanna Be after Katy told the crowd, “This song is for when you’re on holiday and really like somebody!” (And with that special something in the air, we’re sure the magic spark caught fire for quite a few people that night.) Of course, her set wouldn’t have been complete unless the sassy star herself sung the island hit of the summer, Freak Like Me, a Lee Walker vs DJ Deeon track Katy features on that has blown up and can be heard all day and all night here in Ibiza.Rhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuRhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuRight after she left everyone wanting more, DJ Charlesy came swooping in, bringing the energy level to another extreme to welcome the man of the evening, Tinie Tempah, who graced Cova Santa with his striking presence and effortless flow. Dressed in an eccentric leopard print number, Tinie Tempah wasted no time getting into the swing of his performance. As expected, his sea of fans knew every word, singing along loudly and proudly to chart-toppers Written In The Stars and Swedish House Mafia collaboration Miami to Ibiza, a song he claims changed his whole life. Fresh, and perfect for a tantalizing summer evening on the White Isle , Mamacita had our hips swinging and put a big smile on everyone’s faces.Rhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuRhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuRhythm & Waves by Andrei OprescuTeasing the crowd, Tinie Tempah gave us a small taste of a new track called Bounce. His cheeky “You like it, yeah?” was met with a roar, and it’s apparent that Tinie Tempah will continue to smash out hits much to his adoring fans pleasure.

You can catch the last edition of Rhythm and Waves on Thursday, July 21st, when Drum and Bass legends Chase and Status will rock the venue with their signature explosive live sound. Have no fear if distance is an issue, as there is a special shuttle to and from the event, leaving from the San Antonio bus station to make sure you get to the party and enjoy yourself stress-free.
No excuses, see you there!Rhythm & Waves by Andrei Oprescu????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Rhythm & Waves by Andrei Oprescu
