Coffee connoisseurs who take their craft seriously are invited to show off their skills when the 2019 Baleares AeroPress Championship comes to the White Isle on May 11th. Hosted by artisanal coffee gurus Meke Coffee Roasters in their Santa Eularia outpost Meke Café from 11am until 5pm, the hunt is ON to find the best cup of AeroPress java in this global competition. Every year, the series of regional and national competitions run by independent hosts across 60 countries will culminate in the World AeroPress Championship final. Registration costs 22 Euros per person and participants can pick up their first 250gram sample up to 10 days before the competition.

Not a whizz with the AeroPress just yet? Meke Coffee Roasters also offers a series of free public workshops to help you get your head around the technique and try out different recipes! A family-run business, the Meke team has made its mission to raise the speciality coffee culture to a whole new level by working by working with farms from all over the globe that focus on sustainability and ethically sourced coffee beans – and sharing the knowledge with fellow coffee fiends and those keen to learn more. We’ll raise a steaming hot cup of Joe to that!
