Bob Sinclar has brought a slice of his home city Paris to Ibiza every Saturday during the summer, transforming Pacha into a vibrant, sensual space that played host to some spectacular performances. With one last show before the curtain falls for the summer, the French superstar invited some of the most influential artists of the last two decades to the booth for the grand finale.

Lunnas got the party started, as they have done regularly this summer. The Spanish duo, AKA Isabel and Maria, first came to the attention in their weekly Saturday night residency in Madrid. With a thirst for their craft and a love of house music, they joined Bob Sinclar as summer residents in 2016, as Pure Pacha Paris By Night became one of the most popular parties on the clubbing capital for true house-heads. From one of the most exciting new combos to one of the legends of the scene, as Todd Terry took over the booth. The Brooklyn born DJ/ producer has been responsible for some of the biggest anthems of our generation, not to mention some genre defining remixes. He took the atmosphere up a notch as his trademark beats burst out of the speakers, captivating the packed dancefloor.

Talking of those that have made a contribution to the evolution of the scene and it’s fitting that Todd Terry hands control of the decks to Basement Jaxx, the UK based production combo that has delivered some amazing music over the last two decades, taking house music from the dancefloor to the top of the global charts. Felix and Simon show that they equally at ease in the booth as they are in the studio as they drop a series of club nuggets on the floor, easing the vibe up yet another notch. Throbbing basslines, soaring vocals and driving beats are the order of the day as Pure Pacha goes about signing off for the summer. Clubbers have come from all over the world for the last party and are dancing around the legs of the Eiffel Tower and under the neon lights of Le Marias, the heart of Paris’s aristocratic centre.

There is no doubting the arrival of Bob Sinclar to the Pacha booth, surrounded by a troupe of scantily clad ladies, there is an impromptu roar from the crowd as he greets his guests in the booth and gets set for his final performance. It’s been another huge summer, packed with memories for the thousands that have occupied the famous main room. As he welcomes everyone over the mic, thanking his guests for the part they played in setting up the party perfectly, he proceeds to deliver a roof-threatening final set. There are numerous hands-in-the-air moments as he drives the floor one last time. Some classics dropped in are greeted with instant recognition and delight by the capacity crowd, the entourage fills the booth adding a colourful and dramatic back drop and the confetti explosions offer a carnival feel. It’s a grand affair and worthy of the final Pure Pacha Paris By Night. Bob Sinclar signed off in style, but you would expect nothing less. Au revoir Monsieur!
