Martin Solveig returned to Pacha Ibiza on Wednesday for the latest instalment of his My House party. Joining the talented Frenchman in his house for the night was resident Coco Cole ad special guest Mark Ronson and there was even an impromptu visit and live performance from Alma, the vocalist on the artists most recent release ‘All Stars’.

Pacha has offered Ibiza and all who visit her a dancefloor all year round for half a century. 2017 sees the famous club celebrate its first fifty years, during which time it has witnessed some of the clubbing capital’s seminal parties and played host to many of the world’s most accomplished DJs and club brands. Martin Solveig falls into that category, the French DJ/ producer has been making music for as long as we can remember, and while his sound has evolved over time, he has consistently captured the imagination of the dancefloor. More recently, he has enjoyed huge global success, crossing over to dominate commercial charts.

Ibiza 2017 has seen the Wednesday night party add to the fantastic start it made last summer, with a series of high profile guests, not to mention the continued success of its headliners, it has played host to more than its fair share of capacity nights so far. Coco Cole has been omnipresent this summer, from the mambo pre-parties in San Antonio to warm up duties in the famous Pacha booth.

When we land in the club Mark Ronson is working his way through a series of floor friendly cuts, showing his passion for music with an eclectic mix that has caught the imagination of yet another big crowd inside the main room. The My House artwork is visible on the LED screens that offer a mesmerising backdrop to the booth, dancers look glorious as they go through their paces on the podiums and the floor has long since passed boiling point.

Wednesday in Pacha is a great night to drop in! Marting Solveig cuts an animated figure behind the booth, every inch the pop star he has become. He jumps on to the deck table as he addresses his fans, all of whom are captivated. Alma, vocalist on the recent ‘All Stars’ release joins him in the booth, her brightly coloured hair making her instantly recognisable as she proceeds to sing live, much to everyone’s delight. The vibrant atmosphere is punctuated by confetti explosions and of the roar from the floor every time the track hits as breakdown. It’s no surprise that My House has been one of the club’s biggest parties as the floor goes crazy at numerous points along the musical journey. Martin Solveig returns to Pacha every Wednesday until October 4.
