Glitterbox has enjoyed its fastest start to an Ibiza season to date. From the minute the lights hit the disco ball on the opening party, the club has been packed with locals and tourists combining to bring the dancefloor back to the forefront of the clubbing experience. Friday June 24 sees that philosophy continue with another talent-heavy line up that consists of Kenny Dope, Joey Negro, John Morales and Andy Baxter.

Friday night in Space Terrace is the place to be if you love your house music on a soulful edge with a hint of disco and a bassline that demands you move your feet. It’s not quite the back to basics of a soundsystem, minimal lighting and a DJ – there is some fantastic performance from dancers throughout the party, not to mention the odd fantastic live appearance – but the emphasis is definitely on the music. It’s a groovefest featuring some of the most important artists of the last two decades as well as the hottest new talent. It’s a place where you will hear vocals and one where loud explosions are frowned on. For those that want to experience a party without holding their phone in the air, where all the DJs combine to take you on a magical musical journey and a dancefloor where time ceases to matter, then Glitterbox is for you.

The 2016 season has already offered up some magic in the Glitterbox booth, from the opening party full of DJ/producers who between them have been responsible for some of the biggest house cuts of the last twenty years to Basement Jaxx rekindling its love affair with Ibiza in week two and Roger Sanchez returning to Space the following week. June 24 sees Master At Work Kenny Dope stand tall in the Terrace booth, his ability to drive a party with phat beats and throbbing basslines is legendary. Alongside him is the Duke of Disco Joey Negro, who needs little introduction to the discerning clubbers that fill the Glitterbox floor each week. John Morales also returns, one of the pioneers of the edit, his ability to take any tune and turn it into a funk-fuelled masterpiece has seen him work with many of the greatest artists of all time and he’s pretty handy in the booth too!

Defected and Glitterbox boss Simon Dunmore has been added to the line up, bringing a skill and understanding of house and disco very few can match. As a career A&R, his ears have been responsible for spotting some of the biggest house anthems of our time. Local hero Andy Baxter completes a fantastic line up, a favourite for all the parties that put music at the forefront on the back of his ability to take to the decks at any time of the night and pick up the groove. It’s hard to pick out Glitterbox favourites in a summer that is full of special line-ups but June 24 is definitely one that we are looking forward to.
