International Music Summit (IMS) celebrates its tenth edition, ‘Connecting Our Culture’, between May 24 and 26 and sees the return to UNESCO World Heritage Site Dalt Vila on Friday May 26 for its flagship open air party with a line up fitting of the auspicious occasion – 14 world class artists going back to back for what promises to be a celebration of electronic music.

The IMS has become one of the world’s most important industry gatherings, making a real impact on the dance music scene worldwide, responsible for leading initiatives that have resulted in positive change, including the creation of the AFEM: Association for Electronic Music, the global trade body which promotes, protects and preserves the legacy and future of the genre. IN the ten years since its inception, IMS has spread its wings and hosted events in China (IMS Asia Pacific), Los Angeles (IMS Engage) and the most recent addition IMS College in Malta, an educational platform for electronic music.

There are countless locations around the world that offer spectacular electronic music parties, but there are very few that come close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ibiza’s Dalt Vila. The lofty position offers a panoramic view across Ibiza Town and the Marina and the centuries old fortified walls, steeped in historical significance, provide a dramatic backdrop to proceedings. IN a special tenth anniversary edition of the Dalt Vila party, IMS delivers some of the hottest artists on the international scene for a back to back extravaganza. Maceo Plex and Tale Of Us go head to head, as do Seth Troxler and Miss Kittin, Pete Tong and Nicole Moudaber, Dixon and Kenloou (Masters At Work), The Martinez Brothers and Kenlou (Masters At Work), B. Traits and Jesse Rose and Manu Gonzalez and Lollino (Burn Residency).

The IMS stage has witnessed some unbelievable performances across its ten-year island tenure, including performances from 2ManyDJs, Mark Ronson, Hercules & Love Affair, Sven Väth, Solomun, Steve Angello, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, not to mention a special takeover from Disclosure, Dalt Vila 2017 has a lot to live up to but something tells us, with that monumental line-up, it’s not going to be too worried about that! The party kicks off at 5pm and takes you through sunset until midnight, with tickets priced 50 euros, offering fantastic value for money. Partying in one of the iconic global destinations in the company of many of the world’s best DJs, going back to back, challenging each other to push the boundaries further as they do so, promises to be one of those much talked about and seldom witnessed Ibiza moments. Where were you when IMS celebrated its tenth birthday on the top of the Dalt Vila?

IMS co-founder Ben Turner states: “This lineup is by far our strongest in our ten years. We are honoured to bring in legends Masters at Work to be a big part of IMS this year and to see the likes of Dixon and The Martinez Brothers jump at performing with them has been amazing. We have a lot of special plans to celebrate ten years, most involve looking forwards not back! We are, of course, hugely appreciative of the full support IMS receives from the industry and artist community of the past decade.”
