One of the features of the first decade of International Music Summit has been the IMS Legends dinner, where the summit recognises the outstanding efforts and achievement of individuals within the electronic dance music industry. As it gets set for its tenth anniversary edition, the Legends Dinner honours Ricardo Urgell, the driving force behind the Pacha group. Presented by Smirnoff Sound Collective, the celebratory dinner will take place in Pacha on Wednesday May 24 from 8pm until late.

As Pacha gets set to celebrate its own milestone of 50 years, the Pacha Group owner is the focus of attention at the latest Legends Dinner and rightly so. From its first venue in Sitges in 1967 and the subsequent opening of Pacha Ibiza in 1973, the concept has evolved into one of the world’s most recognisable brands. Hotels, restaurants, cabaret lounge, resorts and merchandising shops have followed as the twin cherries became synonymous with quality lifestyle entertainment. Having delivered a year round clubbing option in Ibiza throughout its tenure as well as collaborating with many of the world’s biggest artists and club brands during each summer, Pacha has become the global benchmark for the lifestyle experience.

Ricardo Urgell is rarely in the spotlight but that’s where he will find himself on Wednesday May 24 as luminaries in the industry come together to pay show respect for his monumental achievement. The Legends dDinner normally takes place in Lio, but will move to Pacha for a special celebration of the clubs founder. Music on the night will come from Lenny Ibizarre and the Feel Harmonic Orchestra, featuring Paco Fernandez, Gordon Edge, Bahramji and Anne Rani. There are seats available for those that wish to be part of the celebration, click on the link below to reserve yous. The three course dinner, with wine and Smirnoff cocktails give you a chance to network with industry leaders as well as get access to the official IMS opening party featuring Masters At Work, The Black Madonna and Agoria in Pacha later that night.

The famous club will be transformed to host the Legends Dinner before hosting the official opening party for the tenth anniversary of the Summit, offering a fitting tribute to a man who has brought Ibiza some of the finest club line-ups for half a century. Masters At Work are no strangers to Pacha, having taken over the famous booth on numerous occasions, with The Black Madonna and Agoria completing the opening party line-up, it is already shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the season. IMS offers delegates a chance to network with fellow industry members, the legends dinner offers the same opportunity in a slightly more social environment as well as paying homage to a man who has had a significant and lasting impact on the evolution of the global dance music scene.
