Despite its reputation for hosting some of the world’s most decadent and hedonistic parties, the White Isle has also long attracted those who are favouring a more holistic lifestyle. And while there are many alternative therapists, spiritual teachers and wellness experts who are permanently based on the island, the number of holidaymakers who are seeking out healthy options is ever increasing too.

As a result, Ibiza’s offering of superfood suppliers, dedicated health food shops and vegetarian/vegan restaurants has grown considerably over the years, giving residents and visitors to the island alike access to a wealth of nutritional goodness. Here, we round up the names you need to know if you’re looking to eat ‘green and clean’ in Ibiza.

Raw, Amazonia Skincare

Amazonia EU

Now entering their third year on the White Isle, the Amazonia EU team caused a splash by bringing certified organic acai, a Brazilian super berry packed with antioxidants, to Ibiza. With their frozen packs of acai pulp in hot demand, they have since expanded their product range to include protein powders and nutritional supplements, all of which are gaining rave reviews. The passionate team can deliver straight to your home – and even give you a demonstration on how to whip up the perfect acai breakfast bowl – or you can find their products in selected health food shops and several of the island’s most popular hotels and restaurants.

Passion Ibiza

Since its arrival on the White Isle, the Passion Café brand has proven such a success that there is now a whole chain of the popular eateries, including Playa d’en Bossa, Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia. Cute and quirky, the restaurants are the perfect place to grab a fresh juice or matcha latte after your morning exercise or grab a nutritionally balanced lunch or dinner with friends. You can also buy ‘on-the-go’ snacks such as energy balls, or stock up your own larder with health food supplies from their selection of products.

Wild Beets

Located in the pretty village of Santa Gertrudis, this raw, vegan and plant-based eatery has become a bit of a destination in the middle of the island. The bright and airy interiors make it a lovely place to socialise, while the cold-pressed iPurify juices and nutrient-packed meals make sure you leave full of energy. The menu is varied and the dishes are so tasty that if you’re new to the veggie lifestyle it will totally change the way you think about vegan food.

Ecocentro Ibiza

Stepping into the sprawling and lush garden at the back of this Santa Gertrudis restaurant makes you feel like entering an oasis of calm and peace, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Ibiza’s livelier spots. Their extensive menu of fresh juices and smoothies has a concoction for every need, while Ecocentro’s food offering includes treats such as vegan pizzas as well as Mediterranean and Asian inspired creations. The onsite deli and shop invite guests to stock up on fresh organic produce as well as the mindful chef’s staples such as almond butter, coconut oil, dried superfruits and much more. Ecologically conscious beauty and skincare products are also available.

The Skinny Kitchen

Part of San Antonio’s growing health scene, The Skinny Kitchen offers delicious clean eats and drinks to give worn-out party animals a much needed boost, and help the health-conscious sustain their lifestyle. Overlooking the beautiful harbour of the resort in the West of the island, your mental and physical harmony will soon be restored over a nourishing breakfast or lunch. From juices to pancakes, egg dishes to Asian-inspired plates and ‘clean’ burgers, healthy eating has never felt so indulgent.

The Giri Café

Situated in the picturesque village of San Juan, The Giri Café has become famous for its elegant but relaxed interiors and beautiful tranquil gardens. Whether it’s a healthy brunch with friends, a refreshing juice after a stroll across the hippy market or a romantic dinner, it’s the perfect place to taste the flavours of the island whipped into innovative cuisine creations. The serene ambience and stunning design both inside the restaurant and outside in the gardens also make The Giri Café a popular option for weddings and special celebrations, mixing an authentic island vibe with the flair of international gastronomy.
