Fighting Cancer At Balearic BoogieLou

We often hear talk of the dance music community, a not-so-secret-society that binds DJs and artists, as well as lovers of music, together across the world. It’s the foundation of what turned a style of music into an international movement that would evolve into a global scene. If you need further proof of this invisible bond that connects us all, look no further than January 20, and Balearic BoogieLou/ BoogieLou London, two events – one in London and one on Ibiza – that sees a collection of talent come together for one of their own. Louisa Coles, wife of DJ/ producer and co-founder of legendary Fabric London party Wiggle, who is fighting an ongoing battle with cancer.

Having been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer three years ago – one of the most aggressive forms and one that has tried and failed on more than one occasion to take her life – Louisa Coles continues to fight and, with a new treatment being developed that might give her a chance of victory, the clubbing community across two titans of the global scene have come together to raise funds and awareness. What better way to support one of our own than coming together in music and dance to raise funds for a truly inspirational character and you can do your bit too. You are invited to join in the double celebration on January 20 – the Prince Of Wales in Brixton and Lamuella Ibiza – where a selection of talented artists from Ibiza and London will come together and deliver the ultimate cutting edge sound track.

If you are in Ibiza, then Lamuella is the destination, from 8pm until 3(ish) where you will find some of the island’s finest spinners – Ainsley May, Antz, Balearic Beard, Bekka Rawkins, Buckley, Clara Da Costa, DJ Callum, Dylan Debut, Fred Metropolis, Ian Kennedy, Jaime Fiorito, Jon Rasta, Justin Harris, Melon Bomb, Mike Dolan, Simon Morell and Stephane Ghenacia, with percussion from Dan Young. MFF 002

In Ibiza, where the event has been coordinated by Kerry Ann Young of Love This Ibiza, there will also be a raffle, with prizes donated by people from all over the island and there is also a sit-down buffet from 8pm, courtesy of outside caterers Sabor Ibiza, as the Balearic island comes together for one of its own. If you can’t make it on the night but want to make a contribution, the links below will take you where you need to go. There’s nothing more powerful than people coming together in positivity for a cause they believe in. See you on the dancefloor.
